UN46EH5300 adjust screen size to get whole picture and closed captions

Sounds like you have it on zoom setting. Go to the picture menu and scroll through the options. Start with 16:9 and try others if this doesn't work. If you've already tried this, you may have to go into screen setting and manually draw the picture in horizontally and vertically - but make sure you've got it on 16:9 and paused on a typical picture before you mess around with these settings.

Yellow light on when ready to take picture

On some cameras this means a slow shutter speed and that the picture may come out blurry because there's not enough available light for a faster shutter speed to get an acceptably sharp picture.

Hi Fiona

When you connect the camera to your computer with a usb cable if you click on 'start' at the bottom left of your screen and the click 'my computer' .

The window that opens will show all the drives connected to you computer eg your hard drive (usually c: ) and your cd/dvd . If you open the other drives one will have all the pictures in .

Then just select them all by selecting 'edit' then 'select all' at the top left of the open window and then click 'edit' and 'cut '.

If you then open My documents and open the folder 'my pictures' ,then click 'edit' and then 'paste' at the top left of the window all your pictures will be copied to that folder.

Just to make it easier the camera will have come with a cd ,if you put that in the cd drive it will offer to install software ,if you accept and install it every time you plug the camera into the computer it will start the program and copy the pictures automatically.

Hope this helped

First of all, always remember to "eject" your equipment on a Mac and use "safely remove hardware" on a PC when you disconnect to avoid corrupting the camera. To avoid problems in the future, do what the pros do...use a separate card reader like the one pictured here. 7a04a6b.jpg

There's a white line on the left side of the screen. It doesn't show up on the pictures on the computer but it stays on the screen.

Yes, LCD Screens when damaged will do this. If it doesn't show up in the pictures, then your CCD in the camera is fine.

Keep using it as it is as changing the screen can be more expensive than the camera's current value.

Or, if it is in warranty replace or repair it at your option.

Good luck to you on this.

E 18 problem

the E18 means the lens system has a problem. I had it with my S2 and sometimes it worked, sometimes not. Eventually it stopped working. The only solution was sending it to repair, they changed the lens system.
