I need a list of acidic foods and a list of alkaline foods

Hi Samuel,

Here is a free printable food chart of acidic and alkaline foods courtesy of Greenopedia.com http://greenopedia.com/wp-content/uploads/Alkaline-Acid-Food-Chart-Printable.pdf

Please keep in mind:
Some foods can be listed on the acidic or alkaline side depending on the source. Some of these food items are tomatoes, soy products, nuts & seeds, or fermented items such as sauerkraut.
Not all foods are what they seem either. Citrus would obviously be on the acidic side, right? Not true! Limes, oranges, and grapefruit are actually alkaline forming fruits!
Artificial sweeteners, alcohol, and highly processed foods are highly acidic forming that offer little or no nutritional value. These foods should be avoided or eaten very sparsely.
Not all acidic foods are unhealthy and often offer other nutritional benefits so make sure you don't avoid everything acidic and maintain a balanced diet.

Stain from sun

if the discoloration is fairly recent, you can usually get rid of it by using exfoliating products, like facial scrubs, etc. try moisturisers that contain lactic or glycolic acid. if you're light-skinned, the facial scrubs will benefit you the most, whereas if you're dark-skinned, it'll probably worsen - thus stick to the moisturisers. Since your skin will be dried out due to exfoliating, please make sure you moisturise! I cannot tell you how important that is. Keep hydrated too.
I looked up some options available to you:
A.M.: Sunscreen
  • A.M./P.M.: Glycolic or lactic acid cleanser and moisturizer
  • Hydroquinone cream, OTC (like Ambi Fade Cream, $6), or prescription, $50, three to 24 weeks
  • Two or three monthly chemical peels, $100 to $150 each
  • For lighter skin: One or two KTP or Q-switched laser treatments, $250 to $500 each, or four to six monthly IPL treatments, $250 to $350 each
  • For darker skin: Four to six monthly fractional nonablative laser treatments, $750 to $1,500 each

What are the basic signs that fermentation of my homebrew is happening? It has been 24 hours and nothing seems to have changed.

It's very hard to tell just by looking at a beer that it is actually fermenting, so don't panic if it doesn't seem to be any different to you. But some of the basic signs of fermentation are;

Bubbling

Yeast residue floating to the surface

What will happen if I bottle my beer before its fully fermented? Is it dangerous?

It's really important that fermentation is complete before you start the bottling process for the following reasons:

If beer is put in the fridge before fermentation is complete, it will continue to ferment albeit at a very slow rate.

If you then take it out the fridge, active fermentation will re-start.

This could lead to bad beer, burst bottles and even injury, so be really sure that fermentation is finished before you start your bottling.

I dont think my beer has started fermenting. What should I do?

First of all don't panic. You can't really tell by looking at a beer whether it's fermenting or not. You can take another hydrometer reading. On average, if the final reading is around 25% of your original gravity reading then you know the beer is fermented.

My son spilt milk over our panasonic dvd remote control and now it does not work. Where can I get a replacement? I live in Perth, Australia

HELLO

Milk and remote controls are a very bad mixture (lactic acid) but you should be able to obtain a replacement remote control through ANY Panasonic dealer in your locality.

If you do an internet search, you may be able to find a cheaper deal online. On the front of the remote at the bottom there should be a line of letters and numbers and you will need that when you order a replacement remote (hope you have not slung it in the bin) or failing that just give the model number of the DVD recorder.

You could even have a go at repairing the old one if you are brave enough!

ALL THE BEST (:-)
