Question about Office Equipment & Supplies
This can be caused by a mechanic fault, or by a fault concerning the encoder strip, that is the part that determines the position of the ink carriage while printing.
The encoder strip is the plastic strip running aside the traction belt behind the ink carriage, and it can be cleaned using soft cotton and isopropyl alcohol.
If the problem is mechanical then the printer must be fixed by a technician.
Also ensure that there is no dirt or foreign object inside the printer, in the area behind the ink carriage.
