How to grow a seedling from an acorn

Plant in a decent sized pot for root base to form. Put acorn in soil...1-2" deep. Keep soil moist and in sun 4-6 hours a day. In 6-10 weeks you should have a stem growing out of dirt. Grow in pot until strong enough to plant in ground.

How do I get rid of clusters of transparent wing insects that gather in Summer on the growing tips of the figs , as well as the passion fruit at Tamborine mountain?

Cover your tree in a fine net when the figs start to form after blooming. I know wasps like to lay their eggs in them, and those fruit usually fall off. Probably the same with the passion fruit.

How does lawn aeration work? i know it's supposed to be good for the grass but i don't know how.

Lawn aerators make holes in the lawn extracting plugs of soil. This helps oxygen reach the soil which allows it to breathe.
Water and nutrients are then better able to reach the soil and help it grow.

How well your lawnmower works can make a huge difference in how you perceive this task. If the mower runs well and does what it is supposed to, then the job might not seem too onerous, but if your mower stops every time it gets hot, then it can turn a job that should only take a little while into an all-day affair. There are a few reasons why your lawnmower might stall after warming up
