Some places do trade but you would have to ask who ever you are going to buy a new one off.

What should I look for wen buying a DC27 upright vacuumed cleaner? How do I check age as the model was brought out in 1997 an I don't want a old vacume?

Hi there, it's Jack at Dyson.

Apologies for any confusion, but the Dyson DC27 upright was introduced in 2009. It's no longer in production as it's since been replaced with more recent technology, so it's not a model that's available to buy from Dyson direct. If you find a retailer with new stock available, they would be best placed to provide you with further information about its age and condition.

I hope this helps, but if you'd like any additional advice you're welcome to contact our experts by calling 0800 298 0298 (UK), 1-866-693-9766 (US), 1-877-397-6622 (CA) or 1800 239 766 (AU).

How to replace dc14 all floors duct body assembly?

The duct body assembly is really the heart of the unit to which everything is attached. My advice would be to buy the new part and then disassemble the old cleaner bit by bit, taking photographs if necessary, and then attach the old parts to the new assembly. This is no simple task (but not too difficult either) and if you are handy and feel competent enough to tackle the job then that is what I would advise. I don't think there are any instructional videos for this. The alternative would be to exchange - there are some good deals on trade-ins for Dyson at the moment. Good luck.

My dyson has stopped working. There was a burning smell and then a strange noise and now it wont even switch on.

The Motor sounds like it has gone bad. Bagless machines like these always have motor problem. If it is under warranty then it will need to be shipped to Buffalo New York. I would trade in in on a Riccar vacuum. You can get 20 years out of those for less money.

Beater bar on Dyson upright won't turn when handle is lowered

I have finally fixed my sister's dyson dc 15 beater bar problem. It was just 2 tiny broken wires connect to circuit board lead to the beater bar. The wires broke where they go through the black rubber gommet. You need a torx screwdriver tx 15 to remove 2 plastic covers to access the wires. When looking at the front of the vacuum, the gray covers located on the right side of the vacuum. 1 big cover with a black rubber gasket and other small gray cover is on the rotating ball area.
This my new year resolution is to warn people not to buy Dyson vacuum cleaner ( Junk) design to break down! Shame on you Dyson!!!! Save your money find good old vacuum cleaner with metal parts.

OLD IS IN NEW IS JUNK!

Happy New Year!
