Question about LG Washing Machines
I have done it before using the hand wash cycle. I don't know if that is the way you are supposed to do it, but it seemed to be ok and didn't ruin my down comforter.

SOURCE: Washing a down comforter
I wouldn't wash a down comforter personally. I think they might need to be dry cleaned only. I know that mine does. A friend of ours that was watching our house spilled something on ours and then washed it. It went all flat and bled some of the color from the trim. We ended up having to buy a new one. Also, depending on the size of the comforter you may not want to for safety reasons of your washer. I know the sales people say you can wash like 15 jeans and 20 towels but really you don't want to. It can end up putting too much weight on the bearings of the drum and that is a costly repair. Let me know if you have any other questions, I hope this was helpful for you. Also let me know if this helped you out. Good luck.
