Where do I find the exact light bulb that comes out of a Cavaliere 218 Series Range Hood? Anyone else have this problem?

One of my bulbs burn out and I went to the hardware store to buy a new one. Brought it home, hooked it up and it works but when you put the round cylinder bracket over it to hold the bulb in place, it won't fit. Very frustrating and I have bought several types. Manual says a 35W Type MR16 12volts.

SOURCE: need replacement bulbs for over-range hood

These are 20W 120V bulbs with what's called the intermediate base. The new Panasonic part number is ANE6030540AP and you can get them at Tritronics at http://www.wehaveparts.com or Vance Baldwin at http://www.vancebaldwin.com You should also be able to get them at local appliance parts stores, Lowe's (or similar) or even a large grocery store. You can also use Sharp part # RLMPT0003YBE0 from either of the above sites.

I have replaced the surface light on my KHMS2050SSS-0 microwave/hood several times. The light bulbs keep burning out shortly after replacement. Why are the light bulbs to burning out so frequently?

if this is a standard edison base bulb try this fix. make sure power is off to oven, remove bulb, find the small tang in the base that contacts the bulbs center base and using needle nose pliers bend it up slightly, install new bulb. let us know how this works for you:)

Light bulb above stove under microwave hood

According to the GE manual it is a 120 v 20 watt halogen bulb, the GE product number is WB36X10213. That is the cooktop light/nightlight that would be on the stove hood. HTH!

The range-top light blew and now replacement bulbs

My Whirlpool/Roper microwave/hood combo has the same problem. I replaced the bulb twice, checked the bulb and it works, but not in the microwave. I wrote to Whirlpool asking about the problem. Haven't heard from them yet.

Cleaning ge profile convection microwave

HI HERE THE STEPS TO DISASSEMBLEA gas range cabinet comes apart very easily. Here's how:
Step 1: Take out the screws that hold the panels, and pull off the control knobs. On the control panel the knobs are friction-fit; pull them straight off. Some knobs may have setscrews in the base of the knobs; back out these screws using a screwdriver or Allen wrench and pull off the knobs.

Step 2: Remove the back service panel on the control panel by backing out a series of screws around the edge of the panel. To remove the front panel, take off the control knobs and remove a series of mounting screws that hold the decorative panel to the frame. These screws may be hidden by molding or trim; pry off the molding or trim with a screwdriver, or take out several screws.

Step 3: To gain access to the burner assemblies, remove the burner grates and then the top of the range. The entire range top should either lift up and off the range or open up and back on hinges. The oven door can usually be removed by pulling it straight up off the hinges on both sides of the door. Some hinges have a latch that must be unlocked before the door can be removed.

Step 4: If the surface light of the range burns out, remove retaining screws and panels as necessary to gain access to the bulb. Replace the burned-out bulb with a new one of the same type and wattage; check the ends of the old bulb for this information. Then replace any retaining panels.

Step 5: If the oven light burns out, unscrew it and remove it from the oven. Replace the burned-out bulb with a new one of the same wattage, made for oven use.

GE microwave interior light bulb replacement.

Your post has two distinct model numbers shown, so it's hard to be precise, but I'll try my best.

You can usually find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here: http://tinyurl.com/gv383

I have a diagram at my site which helps you find & replace many GE cooktop and cavity light bulbs. Other models are similar. It's at
http://207.234.249.73/mwd/ge_lamp_replacement.jpg

Always unplug a microwave before removing or installing any bulbs!

If it's an over the range type, remove the vent grille across the top and see if bulbs can be accessed there.

There may be a panel on the bottom covering the light(s), too.

If not, chances are you'll have to remove it from the wall, then remove the outer cover.

Many models use halogen lamps. You must not touch the new one with your bare skin, as the oils will shorten the bulb life.

If yours is an Advantium type, the following instructable should help: http://www.instructables.com/id/SZFF4WSF44XYT8X/?comments=all

Sharp R-1500 range lights

Are any other bulbs in the home going out prematurely? If so, I would check the actual voltage of your power outlets. If not, the bulbs may be getting grease or debris on them from stovetop cooking. This can cause hot psots and premature failure. I recommend wiping them clean with alcohol on a cloth before installing them. I recommend that folks always have their hood fan on when cooking on the stovetop. Also, you might check with a local home center (Lowe's, Home Depot, etc.) to see if they have some high-quality (non-Chinese) substitutes.
