If this is 0.24 if a cent, and you are rounding to the nearest cent, your answer is 0.

Step 1 - identify the column in question. The cents column is the 0.

Step 2 - look at the number in column immediately to the right. In this case, the 2.

Step 3 - if this number is 5 or greater, add 1 to the column in question

Step 4 - if this number is 4 or less, don't add 1 to the column in question

Step 5 - set all numbers to the right to zero. In this case, it is to the right of the zero, so we just leave them blank.

I get 0.00 which we then write of 0.

Good luck,

Paul

That really depends on what you mean by 78.75

If you mean $78.75 then 75 is the nearest cent.

If you meant 78.75 cents the the answer is 79 cents.

You need to show the full amount in relation to dollars.

If that is the only part of the number, "I owe you .29 cents of 1 cent", I would have to give you one cent. 1.29 cents, or $0.0029.

However, if I owed to $27.00.29, I would give you $27.00 as the rounding removes it.

$27.0051 would give you $27.01.

That is $59836, rounded down. You would round up if the cents were 0.50 or more.

If it is 0.292, rounded to the nearest cent is 0.29, since the next number to the right is 4 or less.

If that is $10.96 you mean, it is already rounded to the nearest cent, as it only needs 2 decimal places.

Rounded to the nearest dollar, it is $11. Anything 50 cents and above is rounded up, otherwise, round down.

divide 8,398 by 43,578.582996 and you get this really long decimal, so you can round up or keep it that way. I will round up. It is about 19.271% of an acre. (answer rounded to nearest thousandth)

No. To the nearest cent, the monthly interest is $162.50. The monthly payments only pay the interest, without reducing the principal.
