You will need to open it up and find where it is.if you have already done this and it has no power or it is not turning on check the fuse in your plug to make sure that has not blown.
if that is all ok you will need to get someone to look at it for you.

How do I replace a switch on a eureka 3282 vacuum cleaner

this is what I would do.Get a 22oz hammer and hit that sucker right where that switch is but thats not going to solve it.there has to be some screws or other parts that will allow access. My way gaurentees access but then you won\'t be able to put it back together to see if it works.

Shark SV736R motorized brush won't rotate

The 2 metal pins of the motorized brush are not in contact with the vacuum cleaner. or the Motorized brush is clogged up. You have mentioned that it is cleaned, but still give a thorough inspection. For the metal pins, firmly insert the motorized brush into the air-intake nozzle. This will connect the motorized nozzle to the unit power supply.

Motor runs, brush won't turn, burning rubber smell

Easy to fix. The burning rubber smell is hair in the roller against the belt! Congrats, you have a healthy vacuum, you are lucky! Unplug the vacuum, remove the screws that cover the belt and roller brush. If you are nervous, take pictures with a cell phone or digital camera as you go for re-assembly. ok, pull the long roller out of it's slot and out of the vacuum. cut all hair off the roller and carefully move the belt from side to side to do the same. If the belt slips off, it slips back on easily. If the area is too tight for fingers guide it back on with any long thin wooden object. You can squeeze the belt to narrow it and slide it back over the thin metal rod that spins it from the motor. Slide the roller through the belt and back into it's slots. If it won't slide back on, turn it a quarter turn. Repeat till it does slide back into place. Put the face plate back on-tighten screws, flip it over, plug itr in and it should work!

My dyson dc14 all floors won't stay on when I press the power button. I can hold it down and it will work, but that makes cleaning very slow.

Quick Fix...takes 4 minutes max

Remove the switch by using instructions here:

http://www.sparesaver.com/vacuum-spares/help-and-support/dyson-section/dyson-technical-advice-450/dyson-dc14-technical-advice-474/replacing-the-cable.html

(The was an additional torx screw 3 " below the one in the directions...yours may have this too...just remove)

Then...While holding the body of the switch in one hand, use your other to hold both contacts between your thumb and forefinger and gently place pressure on each contact in the opposite direction, just like screwing a nut onto a bolt. Press the switch down while applying this torque and see if it sticks. If it does just bend the contacts slightly and continue pressing the switch to ensure it holds. Reinstall switch.

I still advise buying a switch from amazon for $4.00 and replacing it but this will help you to continue to use your vacuum in the meantime without having to hold the button...

if you have a shop vac you can try blowing it out. for some reason this works better. You also might try a coat hanger with a U bend at the end.

Oreck vacuum won

Sounds like the motor, fan chamber and the end cover for the fan chamber is not all of the way in place. They have to be on right on top of the scew posts.
