If this is a new problem after storage and you can hear a hum, you may want to unplug the unit and slip a screwdriver or something into the outside vents and see if the fan spins. My RV had this problem occur every spring and I had to manually spin the fan once and add a little lube to the bearing and it would work all season after that.

Compressor want come on

Here is what to do . Pull out or turn off Electrical disconnect behind unit . Carefully remove panel covering controls in unit . Note most units have a flat panel with a few screws, but some GE units have a welded metal box on top of unit which needs to be removed. After exposing controls. replace or turn on disconnect. Then take a plastic handled screwdriver and push in on center of contactor (boxlike part with a lot of wires hooked ) If the compressor now comes on release contactor , and check for 24 Volts AC at base of contactor where thermostat (small wires that run on outside of black refrigerant line ) with thermostat on and calling for cool you should measure 24 to 28 volts . If voltage is present replace contactor after disconnecting from power. If no voltage go inside , remove cover from thermostat, and check for 24 volts between red ( R) and yellow (Y ) terminals on thermostat , If voltage is present , replace thermostat , no voltage check voltage in heater / air handler if you have voltage at air handler , replace thermostat wire from heater to thermostat / if no voltage check for blown fuse in heater , this should be either an inline fuse or an automotive type fuse plugged into circuit board (with power to heater disconnected check broken wire or black mark in fuse when held up to light. If fuse good turn on power to heater and check for 230v to one side of transformer, if you get voltage to Primary (incoming side ) of transformer, check output side of transformer for 24 - 28 volts. If transformer shows input but no output replace transformer after turning power off. If you heard a buzzing or grinding noise , when pushing in contactor , but compressor didn't start look at run capacitor (this is round or oval shaped object with wires going to contactor and compressor ) Looking at area where wires plug this should be a flat surface , if it looks domed shaped or bulging out , it is blown and needs replaced , use same mfd rating and 440 Volts to be on safe side. / If there was no noise from compressor when contactor was pushed in , put your hand on top of compressor (black object in center of unit ) If hot , allow to cool for at least three hours with power to unit turned off and retest . If compressor comes on after cooling , check for bad fan motor in outside unit (it may make a squealing or wining noise and stop runing for a while , also check for / clean outdoor coils
Hope this helps .
Thanks,
Alex

I have an 02 kia sportage. my signal lights come on but dont blink outside. no lights for the signal lights come on on the dash at all. also, no hazard lights.

If the 15A HAZARD fuse in the passenger compartment fuse box is OK, power is getting to the hazard function of the flasher unit. Pressing the hzard switch should cause the hazard lights to flash. HOWEVER, there is an electronic time and warning indication system module connected to to the hazard switch lead and that may be affecting things. If the 10A TURN fuse is OK, power is applied to the turn switch (with the engine in START or RUN) and you state you can select a right or left turn. HOWEVER, the RED/WHT and RED/BLU outputs from the flasher unit connect directly to the front and rear turn lamps and the instrument cluster turn indicators so you are not getting any flasher output. Again, that electronic time & warning indication system module could be affecting things

The air conditioner cools the room but it shuts of. The power light doesn't come on while unit is on. Can I replace the plug?

"The air conditioner cools the room but it shuts of." -- Temperature reached, but does not turn back on automatically? Stops short of reaching temperature? Shuts off for a period, but will come back on only to shut off again later?
Most importantly, how do you get it to turn on again?
"The power light doesn't come on while unit is on." -- If the unit is on and the power light is not, then the power light must not be operating (is burnt out).
Actual answer: "Can I replace the plug?" -- Of course you can.
What is causing you to feel that the plug needs replaced?
:o).

The outside unit does not operate. All i can hear when i turn it on is is ticks for a minute then turns off. I have reviewed the inside of the unit and no error light comes on except for a led light...

D25 code : Check power supply voltage to the outdoor unit is correct (1ph ?220 Vac ±10% or 3ph ?380 Vac ±10%). If OK, check fuses, if fuses are OK replace outdoor main PCB

D26:
compressor seized. Check compressor windings all equal resistance 1 to 4 Ohms, check to earth 50 MOhm minimum, check run current and Inverter outputs

Hope helpful?

When I push power, the blue power light comes on but the screen never does. I had success yesterday by unplugging the main power, plugging it back in and then it would turn on. That trick is not working...

tim578, Unit's main power supply needs inspection and repair. Check for videos that deal with DIY repair of your FLM-3734b on youtube. May need to replace BAD (failed) electrolytic filter capacitors, and other components on unit's multiple dc voltage output "switch-mode-power-supply" board. You're going to need a lot of luck getting this one fixed!! You will need to do a lot of surfing to understand the polaroid problem!!

Speakercraft DBB12100 Amplifier, Circuit problem

Sounds like its a problem with over heating. open unit clean out all dust and dust bunnies wich compressed air. check that all fans are opperating. (fans on 6x100 amp units or thermal controled). If amp goes into protection prior to fans turning, there is your answer. the @ power supplies will have a green light on the output side. if the light in on power supply is good. or you can check that the output voltage is at 48Vdc on both units.

GREEN LIGHT ON CORD COMES ON BUT THE AC UNIT WONT TURN ON. IT IS A SAMSUNG AW109CB PLEASE HELP.

you need to verify that power is getting to the control panel, the green light does'nt mean that there is power to the unit, also verify power to the controll swithes/board and verify that the thermostat is closing and trying to turn the unit on

Delll Inspiron 2200 Laptop does not power on

You have all the simpthoms of an overheating laptop.
For starters, get a vacuum and **** all the dirt from the fan or fans on the back/ bottom of your laptop.
Then turn on your laptop. It should stay longer than 5 seconds.
If this solves your problem, then you are lucky.
If not, you'll need to have your laptop serviced, and clean the heat sink, and have reapplied the heat transfer compund on the processor.

Not a big deal, and not that expensive either.

If this answer helps, please don't forget to rate.
