Craftsman 19.2v drill. What is process remove the chuck. The back side of it has 17mm dual flat spot. I tried 17mm open end thin bike wrench but I cannot get the chuck to unscrew. I need it off in order to...

Hi Charles! The chuck is fixed to the spindle by a bolt (with Ph2 or hex head), you can find the bolt head if you look directly into the chuck (with its jaws completely opened). You'll just need to fix the chuck (with your hand most probably), and unscrew that fixing bolt (might be with left-hand thread! - don't use excessive moment, first try it gently both ways). After removing the bolt you'll just need to gently tap the bottom of the chuck - through a piece of wood - with a hammer, to remove the chuck from the spindle. Gently is the key word - in order not to damage the chuck and ball bearings/gear set of the drill.
Below are 2 reference links from Craftsman and Sears Parts catalogue - may help you as well.

I need to remove the jakobs chuck from my makita 2030 hammer drill

Open the chuck fully and remove the set screw inside it. The screw has left handed threads and is most likely lock-tited in so get a firm grip on it and turn it clockwise to remove it. The chuck is right threaded but put on very tight. The best way to losen it is to lock the short leg of a 1/2-inch allen wrench firmly in the chuck so you can hit the long leg with a hammer. If the spindle below the chuck has flat spots for a wrench, lock the wrench in a vice and put the spindle in it so you can hit the allen wrench hard enough to break the chuck free. When you put a chuck back on use a drop of lock-tite on the spindle and screw threads and turn them on as tight as you can.

Fleetwood 50 drill press chuck connects to the spindle how?

The chuck on 99% of the drill presses is just a press fit. The end of the spindle where the chuck goes on is slightly tapered to hold it on. Make sure the end of the spindle and inside surface of the chuck are very clean. With the motor off, raise the table high enough so you can still get the chuck on the spindle then turn the handle to lower the chuck against the table and press it firmly against the table to wedge the spindle in the chuck. There shouldn't be any need for anything more than this.

How do I remove drill bit?

Your drill uses a key less chuck (the part that holds the drill bit). Grab the black spindle just below the drill bit and turn it clockwise when facing the drill from the back. Some drills have a locking chuck and only need to turn with one hand. Other drills don't have this option and use a 2 piece chuck. If it looks like there are 2 parts to the spindle, you will need to hold the the back part with one hand while turning the front part with the other hand.

Hope you find this useful

I have a Guardina Power 5 speed heavy duty drill press, model number DP-MINI 1/2 inch chuck. The chuck will not stay on the spindle. There doesn't seem to be any set screw, threads or any type of method...

The chuck is held in by the tapered shaft and friction. Make sure the tapered shaft on the chuck is clean with no burrs. Do the same for the socket side in the spindle. Swing the table out of the way and set a wood block under the chuck. Bring the spindle/chuck down into the block quite firmly which should lock the two tapered parts together. Hope this helps as it worked on my drill press!

The chuck came unscrewed from the spindle assembly

yes it can, what you need to do is lock the chuck as tight as you can and then replace the chuck retaining screw which you should be able to find locally, it is a left hand thread.

Sounds like they could be the pins from the front of thh gearbox/clutch area. Can you turn the chuck/spindle fully by hand when the trigger isn't being pressed? If so then these are the pins that help to lock the spindle for tightening/releasing the chuck. You wil need to take it all apart again I'm afraid as I'm pretty sure you won't be able to get them back in the right place from the chuck end. They sit between the gearbox output plate and chuck spindle plate (both parts should be a sort of 'bow tie' shape) and they jsut sit independetly in there, two each side.

How do I replace the chuck on a bosch 1199vsr?

If there is a chuck bolt in the center (where the bit goes) remove it (left hand thread). The chuck is threaded onto the splindle(right hand thread). On some of those drills they have a small hole in the housing that lines up with a hole in the spindle. Put a pin punch in to lock the shaft so you can unthread the chuck. If you clamp a 3/8" allen wrench in the chuck it acts as a good handle. If there are no holes to lock the chuck, if you lay the drill on a bench and give the allen wrench a sharp blow with a rubber mallet it will unthread the chuck. If the chuck is damaged and will not hold an allen key you will have to cut the spindle off and replace the chuck and spindle.

Hope that helps

How do i remove the chuck from the Makita 12v 6227D

There is a left handed screw down at the bottom of the chuck. I believe it is a flathead screw. You need to make sure you are in the lowest gear and turn that screw clockwise. It seems odd, but turning to the right will loosen the chuck screw. Once the chuck screw is removed then you need to remove the chuck from the spindle. Remove the chuck like a regular screw. It has regular threads and should be removed by turning it counterclockwise. Good luck
