Push the lock button on your key fob for three seconds, until the lights on your dashboard blink. Your key has been reprogrammed, and your alarm and computer have been reset. Turn your Kia off, remove the jumper wires and close the hood.
Make sure the door is closing straight. Open the upper doors and look to see if the seal is flush with the body of the fridge. If it is see if the light switch in the freezer is operating properly by pushing it. If the light goes out it is. If the light stays on the switch is shorted inside.
Possibly the weatherstrip around the doors. Has this always been the case, since the first use?
It's possible, too, that you have a slight obstruction that's keeping the doors from closing fully. They SHOULD seal completely. If they don't, you may have a problem with fast frost buildup, and the defrost timer may not be able to keep up with it.
The door sensor causes that. See to it the door really closely tight. A dirty or defective sensor will fool the micro-controller to send an alarming. Have it check and clean by a service technician. Good luck.
Hi if this is happening on and off, where the frost goes away and comes back, your freezer door or one of the fridge doors is not getting shut all the way, this is very common on the french door models, if this model has a door alarm marke sure its on, sometimes they are cracked so slightly that the door alarm doesnt pick it up, so you just have to make sure that all doors are shut tightly should take care of your problem.
kenmore elite, alarm kept going on and b flashed on and off. I finaly figured out on bottom of freezer there is a battery door open it and change 9v. thats it,
SOMETIMES THE DOOR MIGHT SEEM PROPERLY CLOSED BUT ITS NOT TRY RE ADJUSTING THEM AND SEE IF THAT WORKS ALSO THE DOOR CLOSED CONTACT CAN CAUSE THE BUZZER TO GO OFF FOR NO REASON.
