Have Ryobi Brushcutter RBCGM25SS. Won't start or basically fire; has once or twice in the last few days; randomly. Friend was operating it, ran out of fuel not been able to start it since except once.

Check the sparkplug gap. Two stroke engines must have the correct gap as the wrong gap will result in difficult starting. Set gap to the manufacture's spec for that engine. Make sure the exhaust pipe is allowing free gas flow and is not blocked due to old exhaust residue. Make sure the air filter is clean

What gap should I have ona champion RCJ6Y spark plug for a RYOBI RCS4040CA chainsaw? (40CC).

you should be Googling this yourself, check the model number on the spark plug then google the spec or "spark gap".... that would've been quicker than asking this question.

I have a ryobi chainsaw no spark.

Check that the gap on the plug is around 20-25 thou. or the thickness of the cardboard of a cigarette packet. Are you sure the plug outer is getting earthed? Watch out for fuel / air mixture being blown out of the plug hole in the cylinder.

My Ryobi 4545 Chainsaw started but would not tick over. Now won't start at all.

Check your anti kick back bar across the top. If you bumped it forward will not start.

I have a Ryobi RY9050 Blower. It was new this summer. I cannot get it to start

Remove the spark plug and check for blue, snappy spark. If nothing, try a fresh plug gapped at 0.020". If still nothing, then the ignition module may have failed or the stop switch or wire has grounded out. Is the unit still under warranty? If so, take advantage.

I have a Ryobi Cultivator, won't run. New spark plug - RZ7C. What is proper gap for plug?? thanks ront

The correct gap according to my RY64400 operators manual is .025 and the torque is 170-190 inch lbs. The spark plug is NGK CMR7A or Champion RZ7C.

Chainsaw wont start. new plug has a little spark.

The engine case needs to be removed to expose the flywheel and ignition module. Check the module pole gap to the flywheel magnets with a thin business card for a gauge. If the gap is excessive, that can give a weak spark. If the gap appears to be correct, then it is probably time for a new ignition module. Make sure the spark plug is gapped at 0.020" before condemning the module. The spark should be blue and snappy. Check it in a dark area. Hope this helps!
