Battery not fully charged possibly needs replacing. If a battery is not fully charged it will run only half speed with no suction.

Dyson animal pulses on and off

Hi, this happens when the PCB detects a blockage. Take the filter out and then try it. If it no longer goes for only 5 seconds then your filter needs washed. Wash the filter in your washing machine.

Dyson V6 Animal keeps start and stopping.

Hi there, it's Jack at Dyson.

Your Dyson V6 vacuum is designed to make a pulsing noise to warn you when something is preventing airflow from passing through the machine. This could be a blockage in the motorised floor tool, wand or bin inlet. It's also a good idea to check the bin inlet flap can open and close freely, and isn't jammed in place.

Our video support guide will walk you through the simple troubleshooting checks:

I'm confident that removing any blockages and checking the bin inlet flap will resolve the issue with your machine. But if you would like any further help, just give the Dyson Customer Helpline a call on 1-866-693-9766 (US), 1-877-397-6622 (CA) 1800 239 766 (AU), or 0800 298 0298 (UK).

My animal dyson cordless is making a chugging noise any advice to what could be the problem .

Hi Ann, it's Jack at Dyson.

DC44 is engineered to make a pulsing noise, then to shut off for protection, if something is blocking airflow from passing through the vacuum. There may be an obstruction in the motorised floor tool, wand or bin inlet. This is simple to check for and resolve - just follow each of the steps shown in our online Support guide: http://www.dyson.co.uk/support/dc44/dc44-animal/my-machine-is-not-working/machine-not-sucking-picking-up-as-well-as-usual-dc44/no-resolved-redirect-to-check-the-wand/check-wand

It's also a good idea to give the pre-filter a wash. We recommend washing the filter at least once a month, using cold water without detergent. Allow at least 24 hours for the filter to dry completely before replacing it.

I'm confident that removing any blockages and washing the filter will resolve the issue. However if you would like any additional advice from our experts after giving these steps a try, you're welcome to call us directly on 0800 298 0298 (UK), 1-866-693-9766 (US), 1-877-397-6622 (CA) or 1800 239 766 (AU).

My Dyson DC14 ANimal vacum cleaner has lost a lot of its suction, i have cleaned the regular filter but this does not seem to have improved it much. JAmie

Hi its Darran at Dyson.

A loss of suction is most likely caused by a blockage or a dirty filter. If you have cleaned the filter, it would be worth checking the machine through for a blockage by following the user guide or the diagnostics in the Support section on our website at www.dyson.com.

If you are still having difficulties with your Dyson, please contact our Helpline on 0800 298 0298 (UK) or 1866MYDYSON (US).

The motor on my Dyson Animal DC07 is getting very hot. I've always kept the filters and such clean. Is there any maintenance I am to be doing with the motor?

Hi its Darran at Dyson.

From your description of the problem, it sounds as though there is a lack of airflow to the motor which is caused by a blockage in the machine or a dirty filter.

To check your machine for a blockage, please refer to your user guide or visit the support section on our website at www.dyson.com. It is worth checking that both parts of the filter have been thoroughly cleaned.

If you are still experiencing difficulties, please contact our Helpline on 0800 298 0298 (UK) or 1866MYDYSON (US).
