Question about The Toys
If you can open Kota up (remove the fabric & unscrew whatever pieces),
you might be lucky enough to unjam it, or to move & re-align the gears.
There may be a spring that pushes one or both of the gears together that
may need to be checked too. If the gear teeth are OK but some other
part is broken, you can use 2-part epoxy from Walmart, Michaels, etc.
to fix it. Superglue will not work as it is too weak & brittle.
If the teeth on the gears are stripped, it will be tough. You can try rebuilding
the teeth with 2-part epoxy PUTTY (not glue) or 2-part plumbers putty from
Osh, Home Depot, or Michaels (Mighty Putty). and it may break again,
It might be easiest to call the company and ask about repairs and/or
replacement parts. Good luck!

SOURCE: the sound of my kota
Try to check if there is a switch that is accidentally trigger by your child or it is much better if you have the manual try to look for the sound setting, good day hope that this may help.

Hasbro has the instructions and replacement parts for many of the Playskool toys on their support site, http://www.hasbro.com/site-map.cfm . The instructions for the Kota the Triceratops are available here: http://www.hasbro.com/common/documents/dad2af771c4311ddbd0b0800200c9a66/61EED7975056900B10DED12F214D6B3E.pdf . The instructions for the Kota and Pals Ankylosaurus are here: http://www.hasbro.com/common/documents/dad2af771c4311ddbd0b0800200c9a66/F235292B5056900B10B29E652C4640C1.pdf . However, they do not have any parts for the Kota and Pals set. You may find the leaf available in an internet auction.
I hope this helps.
