SOURCE: door spring change

Hi, THe door springs are located behind the lower kick plate. Just remove the four screws that hold the panle on and you will see the springs and cables that help hold the door up.
Please let me know if I can assist you further.

How do i fix a broken spring on a dishwasher door

You will need to pull the dishwasher out about 12" to 18" to be able to get to the springs & rope links. Many dishwashers use a "rope link" to connect between the spring and the door hinge; and in others, the door springs connect directly to the door hinges. Once you pull the dishwasher out, you will easily see what broke and what you need to fixe it.

Door Tension Too Strong So Door Keeps Closing Whilst Loading. How Do We Lessen The Tension? Thank You

the tensioner springs are preset from the factory. they can be seen at the sides of the door if the kick plate (front lower trim) is removed. unless they are the wrong spring there is no way to change the amount of tension that the spring delivers without actually changing the spring( difficult but do able) I would find a working solution by blocking off the door or setting something on it so it can't close unless you want it to.

Is it easy to replace the door spring in a dishwasher

It becomes easy provided you are confident to get to the job. If you are equipped and have some technical knowledge, then the door springs can be changed without fully removing the door but with assisitance the old spring can be taken out and the new one hooked to one side and pulled forward using a hook clamps and put into the slot.

Soap dispensor on kitchen aid dishwasher is leaking

First try rinsing out the dispenser cup and switching to a gel detergent.
Second, the door is spring loaded, and the spring may need to be replaced.Do this byturning off the electricity, then removing the front panel of the dishwasher-loosen screws holding the cup to the door and replace the springs. If the cup does not have springs, then it probably works on a was motor or bi metal switch that can be changed.
I can also be a defective timer switch

I have a kenmore dishwasher that is 18 years old not sure of the model my wife tells me that the door seems heavier than before I am thinking a spring has let go if so how do you change the spring or fix...

Most likely the spring or springs that help the door up are broken. Usually, if you remove the lower front panel (usually 2 screws hold it on) you can access the springs. If they are broken, try your local appliance repair store for new ones. If they are that old, they may be rusted- be careful!

Dishwasher Door Tension Adjust on Electrolux EDW5500DSS

I just adjusted my Electrolux DW springs. The springs are on the bottom sides near the back. They pull on cables that hold the door (via pulleys). The springs can be moved to five different holes to change the tension, but I needed to pull the DW about 2/3 out for side access.
