Received the following in a Microsoft window - WARNING: system has detected intrusions and rootkits or some ddl files are missing from C: windows. Please call Call Urgent to Microsoft Certified Technician to get this problem at 1 888 544-8105

Yes that is a scam close the machine down by holding the start button for about 10 seconds.

How do you turn off the Box that pops up saying Security Warning: Do you want to view only the webpage content that was delivered securely? click Yes or No


Dear User ,

Follow this step to disable the pop regarding the Security Warning .

1. Click on Start --- Run
2. Type inetcpl.cpl and click OK
3.Go to Tools->Internet Options->Security
4.Select the 'Security' tab
5.Click the 'Custom Level' button
6.In the 'Miscellaneous' section change "Display mixed content" to Enable

I think The default security provider in Windows XP has been changed loadTOCNode(2, 'workaround'); To reset the default security provider in Windows XP, delete the relevant registry keys in the Windows registry. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Start the computer. Press the F8 key during startup to start the computer in Safe mode.
  2. Start Registry Editor (Regedt32.exe).
  3. Delete the following registry keys in the Windows registry: HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Cryptography\Providers HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-20\Software\Microsoft\Cryptography\Providers
  4. Quit Registry Editor.
  5. Restart the computer
