On the gas valve there is a grey nut this is the connection of the thermocouple undo this .In your picture it shows the thermocouple there should be a hex head behind the thermocouple undone this it may just pullout , Hard to see from the picture might be a little fiddly but simple to do

SOURCE: weak flame in intertherm furnace

Ok, so we can rule out the ignitor. (standing pilot systems can develop problems that will cause such symptoms.)

Check the gas pressure, make sure you are getting 11 to 14 PSI.

You need that after the regulator all the way to the manifold.

Also check for cracks in the heat exchanger, causing the wind from the blower to distort the flame pattern enough to cause improper contact with the flame sensor.

Make sure the burners and flame channels are clean of rust, and dibri build up, allowing the flame to properly contact the sensors.

SOURCE: intertherm gas furnace inducer centrifugal switch

Chances are the draft inducer motor is not pulling enough CFM through the heat exchanger.

That is usually due to either blocked/clogged flue pipe/vent.
damaged, missing or dirty fan blades.
or a motor going bad.

Check those three things first, as they are the usually problem. Other than that, it would be a sticking or bad switch.

If you s-uck on the end of the hose like a straw, while it is attached to the switch and it does not pull in then you are looking at a bad switch/cracked hose issue. If it does, then you are back to the draft inducer motor or it's squirrel cage fan being bad.

These are notorious for rusting and the blades breaking off.

SOURCE: Intertherm MGH-056ABFC-91 won't kick on. Just

There is probably more than one limit switch. I'll have to get a wiring diagram of this unit. See if you can follow the wires from the wires from the limit switch and see if they go to another limit switch. Also you can put a jumper wire on the red wire and white wire on the unit outside and see if ti comes on.

Intertherm gas furnace in mobile home..igniter comes on then nothing tries to fire byrners but nothing

by igniter I assume you mean the thermocoupler. are you turning the control button to run after you light the pilot light? Normally when those furnaces quit it is the thermocoupler that has quit. Get a new one and leave it in the furnace compartment as a spare.

Pilot light won't light

Will it initially light, then go out when you release the button?
If yes, then change/adjust the thermocouple or pilot size.
If no, then check that you have a gas supply, that the igniter is sparking, that the gas valve is allowing the pilot flow through.

Intertherm furnace M1BG wont fire

Make sure the gas valve is turned to the ON position after you had it in PILOT position. Also check the thermostat low voltage wiring @ furnace...jumper the Red & White wires to bypass the thermostat temporarily. Make sure there is 24 volts on you low voltage circuit.

My pilot flame goes out after a short while and the gas shuts off then as it should. Why does the pilot flame cut out so rapidly?

Because she ain't gettin confirmation of ignition.
Your flame sensor is contaminated most likely.
Get a dry brillo pad and clean that dude. Give it the alabama gloss and the mississippi shine then reinstall and retry.
