Printer given barcode missing install new ribbon

There are two styles of P7000 a spool ribbon style and a cartridge ribbon style. You are getting a barcode error then your printer is looking for a ribbon spool not a ribbon cartridge.

Cartridge Ribbon:
PRINTRONIX 255048 402 P7000 EXT LIFE CARTRIDGE RIBBON New

Spool Ribbon:
PRINTRONIX 179499 001 ULTRA CAPACITY RIBBON 6 PACK New

What is an SMP in a printer P7000?

There is no such abbreviation in the P7000 manual nor an error message. Maybe you mean SMD which stands for Shuttle Motor Drive.

Slow printing

Either the power supply in not generating proper 48 Volts or the controller board is not detecting a 48V output from the power supply.
First of all make ensure that power supply and controller board are correctly connected (check for loose contacts). Unfortunately there's not much you can do. The problem is either in the power supply or the controller board. There is a special tool for testing the power supply and deciding whether to change the power supply or the controller. From what i've seen in the field, most of the times its the power supply that fails. I can send you the power supply test procedure. If youre interested letme know your email.

Printronix p7000 ON LINE button not working

You can take the printer apart and get to the button board that is acting up and google it's part number to find a new/used replacement. If you don't want to service the printer yourself, the only other option is to contact the manufacturer and ask them where your nearest authorized crevice center is located and bring in your printer for what could be a rather pricey repair.

I LOST MY CD DRIVER FOR PRINTRONIX P5205B WHERE CAN I DOWNLOAD

I tried some of the online drivers. They were not good for use with vista. The P7000 driver seems to work for my P5205b...except that .pdf files print up and down instead of sideways!
