Transfer uverse to vcr

I am not a technical person. I would appreciate help very much. I have recorded history on uverse that I would like to transfer to vcr tapes. I don't know what kind of cords to use and where to plug them into. I have a Panasonic vcr. I have a Sanyo regular TV that's about 6 or 7 years old. I've tried youtube and there's nothing posted as to what the connection is suppose to look like. I don't know the names of cords or what abbreviations mean so detailed discriptions would be highly appreciated. Even if you make a small clip or photo and post it on youtube and refer me to the link would be wonderful. Someone please help me out-this is driving me crazy. Thanks in advance!!

Well, the closest place didn't want to really help me. The guy just was standoffish and wanted to tend to his other customers that came in after me. Maybe it had something to do with money???? He told me that I should be able to record on the vcr the way it is connected. That turned out to not be true. There is something else that has to be done to be able to do this. I don't have HD and my setting is set on standard on uverse. I'll try another shop.

Make a small drawing of he back of the vcr and t.v. take this to an electrical shop that is your most local you are much much better off going to a samll independent shop as aposed to a larger chain of shops, they are generally more knowledgeable and have usually been in that job much longer and will direct you straight to the type of lead you need ,there are lots of different types of lead on older model vcrs, in the uk we have a 21 pin scart lead that does all jobs, but goto small independent shop and get it ight first time, please leave feedback

i do not think it would work with your tv. there has been problems when tech installed uverse on dozens of tv. you can try to purchase an universal remote and see if that works. it is just like a jvc vcr/dvd player/recorder which will not work with any tv but jvc. you can also call att tech to help

Unable to operate recorder at all.

When you are turning the recorder on it is blocking the signal for cable going to the TV. Your TV will need to be on channel 3 or 4 depending on what the dvd/vcr player channel output is set to. This is why your tv is asking you to re-scan. It is losing the video signal because the dvd/vcr is taking over. The reason why the vcr with the button on the remote is because the vcr button is changing the function of the buttons on the remote to vcr. Even though the dvd/vcr is one unit they still will act like two seperate components independent of each other. They have seperate power buttons and the dvd player part may need to be hooked up seperately with rca cables to work.

Electronic ILLITERATE!!! - nothing recorded from cable tv channel

okay, if you have a cable box (cable out plug to dvd/vcr in), then from the dvd/vcr (cable out plug to tv/monitor). make sure tv/monitor and dvd/vcr are set to ch #3. you swith channels with the cable box ,you are not going to be able to record HBO on dvd (but you can with the vcr), any other cable ch(tnt, history, tbs,we, oxygen and more) is recordable w/ both dvd/vcr

no cable box. take cable wire plug to dvd/vcr in, than other wire is connected to tv/monitor
now go to dvd/vcr with remote, menu, set to catv, scan channels. now when you wish to look at tv the dvd/vcr must be on at all times. again you will not be able to record Premium ch like HBO
hope this help............pls feel free to rate

Connect a dvd-vcr recorder to my tb

you will need an external dvd recorder to record vcr tapes to dvd. Sometimes you will have problems with quality when you do it this way. I have transfered vcr tapes to dvd with a transfer device using the computer and got much better results. If you need the name of the transfer device just get back with me and I will get it for you.

Magnavox VCR/DVD recorder model ZV450mw8. VCR plays a tape for 6 seconds then shuts the whole unit down.

You will need a technical person to open the unit. This problem can be as simple as a dirty sensor, or bad tape drive parts, or burned out computer chip.

Connect DVD recorder to Video player/recorder- transfer VHStodisc

hook the video output from vcr to dvd input at rear, then hook output from dvd to tv input. note; you can not record protected vcr movies you can only record tv shows from sattelite to vcr or dvd recorder. its best to record straight from sattelite to dvd recorder for picture clarity.

Connection

This can be done. The uverse cables have to be hooked through the vcr, which must be left on all the time. Then the VCR to the uverse receiver. It's basically the same hookup as through a cable box.

HELP! I can't figure out how to Connect my Sylvania DVD/VCR Combo to my older TV

Even if you do get it connected you cannot copy from vhs to dvd as you have bought a vcr recorder with dvd player, not a dvd recorder. You can only record to the vcr tape from a dvd, in the players controls.
