1998 Dodge Durango heater hose

The metal section is part of the water pump. You can just replace the rubber section of hose.

I have a 2hp sprinkler pump that I am having trouble priming. I have 2 check valves on in the water by the intake and the other by the pump. It has take a few hours to get the water to the pump but still...

1. You only should have one check valve; the one in the water is best, remove the other if you can.
2. Make sure there are no leaks in any of the piping between the water and the pump inlet.
3. Take the pump apart, thoroughly clean the new seal, the two halves of the pump that go under the metal band, the inside of the metal band.
4. Lubricate the new seal, the outer sides of the pump halves where the metal band squeezes together, the inside of the metal band where it contacts the halves and even the screw on the tightening device using petroleum jelly (Vaseline) or equal. Make sure the pump literature does not recommend against whatever you use.
5. Reassemble.
6. Fill the pump with water, open the discharge on top of the pump if possible and prime.
Normally, a pump, even with a long run will prime in 5 minutes or less.

Write back.

My GE profile won't pump out the water, how do I get to pump to replace it?

Most likely you do not need a new pump, just need to clear a blockage in it, which is preventing the pump from running.
Unplug machine, then use a putty knife to push the two retaining clips in, located in the seam between the front panel and the washer's top, about 2 or 3 inches in from each side, while you gently pull the front panel forward. Now, take the hoses off the pump (be ready to catch some water with towels or buckets, depending on how much water is left in the tub) and remove pump. Clean out any obstruction in the pump, like rubber backing from a rug, filling from a pillow, a nail or screw from a pocket, etc. Re-assemble pump and hoses, connect power and test.

Good fues and new washer pump. still not pumping fluid. Not frozen either. Wipers and controls seem to still work at trun signal arm??

The little pipes that spray the windshield washer fluid clog very easily. Use either a very thin piece of wire or a very small drill bit (a welder's "tip cleaner" works perfect!) to clean out the sprayers. Use only 100% bottled washer fluid and not tap water since the minerals will clog up the sprayers.

Make sure the rubber hoses between the pump and the sprayers did not pop off or split. If your fluid level goes down but you get no spray it is going somewhere it is not supposed to.

When you activate your windshield washers, you should be able to hear that little pump run- it makes a very distinctive sound. If you do not hear it, there is a wiring problem.

My front load washer is not spinning out the water.

Check for lint and coin build up in filter, which is located in the front. Remove bottom panel to check. If water is pumping out and machine is not spinning but still tumbling at low speed, you will probally need a speed control.

A pin fell out of the bottom of the washer

The pin is just an alignment pin used during assembly at the factory. You need not worry about it. However the water leaking is a separate issue. The leak could be the pump leaking. But I suspect since that pin was knocked out of it's plastic holder during your move, the suspension traveled enough to damage the hose going from the bottom of the tub to the pump. Come of those hoses were a harder (read cheaper) corrugated plastic instead of rubber. It's an easy fix and I replace those plastic hoses with a rubber one.

Front loading washing machine is having leakage problem

You need to work out where the water is coming from, either the front, back left or right hand side to give you an idea what/where to look.
Front - Open the door and check the door seal (usually grey rubber round the door) look for splits, chaffing, damage.

Rear - check the connection to the pump, there will be a (Black) rubber hose from the drum housing about 12-18"long, check for splits, connection etc.
Check and remove the pump itself, Isolate the electricity, to remove - disconnect the outlet hose from below the sink or upstand, lower the outlet hose to the floor and syphon off the water into a bowl from the machine, there will be some even if the machine appears empty. disconnect the plug on the pump (2 wires), disconnect the hoses from the pump (2 off) and check inside the hoses, bra wires, socks etc. look inside the pump for foreign objects, the pump can be wasily split open via 3 screws normally, refit in reverse order.

Top - remove the top cover usually 2 screws at back or side and will slide slightly to remove, check hoses to drawer and the hose below drawer to top of the drum housing, check the inlet solenoids at the back (where the water hoses connect).

hope this helps

My washer won't fill and sounds like it's draining.

Check to see your inlet water pipes are not clogged. Then see that your outlet drain pipe is approx 30 inches or more from the floor level. Your pump pumps the water up over the level into your wall drain or whatever. The water mark is usually marked somewhere at the rear of the machine. See that your inlet valve is closed before you check for your blockages; after you've fitted it back after cleaning, open your valve.
