Sx4000 typewriter only prints one letter regardless of key pressed

I have a brother SX4000 at work and I am having a hard time getting the correction tape on. Can you help with any instructions?

Be sure the pitch selection is correct. If it is set to PS when using a 10,12 or 15 pitch wheel it will select incorrect letters.

Providing you have the proper supplies and they are correctly installed you just type a wrong letter, press he correction (KEY WITH AN ARROW AND AN "X" ON IT).

If it isn't in KBII or proportional space you probably have a broken print wheel homing pawl. You need a tech.

How do you clear the tabs on a sx4000 typewriter?
I'm not positive but generally speaking tab all the way to the right, hold down the tab clear key and press return. To clear a single tab,tab to that point press tab clear key.

Warning sound, didn't move
Check to be sure the correction tape isn't tangled in the print wheel. If it is or was check the wheel to be sure it isn't damaged,
Then try it without the correction tape.

Print from memory
put mach. in NP mode
press the PRINT key ("name of file" should appear)
type the name of the file and hit RETURN key
then hit RETURN again
