Starting the machine without a power cable isnt bad, especially since its a laptop and is made to run on battery power. as for the freezing, if it was dropped alot then something could have come loose meaning it mite not be covered under warrenty. i would just try to get it fixed at the place it was purchased at.

My mouse keep freezing up for periods of time and i have a restore cd that don/t do anything when i put it in

I wouldn't use restore cd

I would:
Press CNTRL + ALT + DEL, when the mouse freezes
Then i would look in the task manager and sort the columns by CPU % usage
See if a program is taking up all your CPU

Post back here the name of the program
You can then remove or fix the program casuing your system to slow

My computer keeps freezing . How do you reboot a computer ? I am hoping if I do that it will quit freezing up when I am trying to play farmville on facebook.

Alt+Ctrl+Del but it sounds like there's something more wrong. Go into Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs and see what's there. Remove some of the rubbish and see if it helps.

Why does my curor freeze up?

First I would replace the batteries. I had the same problem a couple of years ago. The solution for me was getting rid of McAfee AV. To check if it is your problem, use CTL-ALT DEL to turn McAfee off and see if that gets rid of your mouse freeze ups.

Ctrl + Alt+Del

Hi

is it a usb keyboard or a ps2(round connector) keyboard? the problem is most likely that due to the computer not having started up properly the keyboard is not properly configured / installed by windows.

to get rid of this problem, you need the old type of keyboard, turn off the computer, and plug in a keyboard to the ps2 connector.

green one is for the mouse, the other is for the keyboard, plug in a keyboard, then turn the computer on, you should be able to press CTRL+ALT +DEL now and ones you sign in to the computer it should install the usb keyboard and it should work from now on, just make sure the keyboard is not disconnected or port changed when the power is off from the computer that cause the configuration loss.
