Samsung projection tv stopped working!

Hi I have a Samsung projection tv that we just moved from down stairs. It is Model PCL5415R. It worked throughout the day and then last night it just clicked like it turned itself off no picture no sound but the red light under timer was on. Then we unplugged it and let it sit when we plug it back in it immediatly makes a noice like it is turning on "clicking" and turning off, but it does it 3 times and nothing! When it is plugged in the red light under timer is on. What should I do? Any amazing tricks I can try or should I have out an expensive repair man or say "forget it" and buy new. Please help my husband is so mad at me for having him move it and then it stopped working!

You will definitely have to take it to a repair shop. There are several things that could be wrong with it but the unit would have to be opened up and the circuit boards would have to check along with the lamp. All of the electrical components in projection TVs are exposed to alot of heat. Over time they can can become frail and brittle. The vibrations from the move could have damaged a component on one of the boards and then the heat from running the unit could have finished it off. I would suggest taking it to a repair shop for an estimate. Most repair shops provide free or cheap estimates( less than $100). Call them and find out before you go. Get your estimate, if it sounds like its worth the money to you to fix then go for it. If not, tell them "no thank you" and start shopping for another unit.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

My big screen tv is about 3 inches to big to take down my stairs into my basement. Can it be dissasembled? Are there any sketches on how to dissasemble the speakers? Thanks Don

Yes but it would be easier to widen the stairs and just moving them can stop them from working so if you decide to take it apart just be careful, Manuals are available online but non are free

Double vision on my samsung HDTV 1080i

If one or more of the colors, red, green or blue have separated from each other and you can`t correct the problem using the convergence procedure as described in the users manual, that would indicate you have a convergence problem. Bad solder connections on the convergence output chips are common. If the set had a rough ride down the stairs while moving, that may have facilitated in exposing a preexisting condition. However, the most likely cause is the natural failure of one of the convergence output chips and or related components and not the move. The fix is to have a qualified technician address the problem. This is not a do it yourself job.

My samsung projection tv #pcl5415r don't want to perform perfect focus adjustments

perfect focus functions are based on service mode setup...or factory settings. if the alignment of these setting are loss then the unit wont perfect focus. does the unit have a complete loss of convergence. a complete loss of convergence indicate possible failure of convergence amps.

Samsung 54" rear projection PCL5415R Won't Turn On

Although I am not incredibly familiar with your model, There is most likely a small board mounted above the others near the crts, there is a small red connector with a blue wire if you unhook it it will remove power from the convergence IC's and if they are shorted it might come up with conv out, will need a new module.
