Cannot delete songs/music folder doesn't show up on computer

First plug your i-pod 1st generation into my usb port on your computer.
Then download and install Sharepod. when the it appears right click the selected song and delete it, in the main menu

Open itunes up go to the folder that the song is located under then delete the song plug your ipod into the computer and itunes should automatically delete it off your ipod for you.

change the usb modes also....MSC will allow you to see the expansion card ( 2Gig E200 series 4gig Fuze) mtp won't.....MTP shows you your music folder in the media folder thats where you put your music plus expansion.....
Delete songs and Format (Helps with trying to delete BAD TRACKS and folders that will not delete full memory(Some ripped CD folders).. Go to my computer scroll to sansa or your MP3 player and open the music folder and open each sub folder and delete Songs manually then delete the folders themselves then format a couple of times hope this works

Connect Sansa to computer
Double-click "My Computer" icon
Double-click Sansa icon (shows up as "Removable Drive" on some computers)
Select Tools --> Folder Options --> View --> check "Show Hidden Files and Folders"
Double-click Music folder
You should see your music files - you can delete at will.

3. Click on the icon of your Mp3 player on the left-hand side of the Library

4. Click on the Songs, Tracks, or other Music Folder

5. Find a song or songs that you want to delete

6. Left-click the song once to highlight it

7. Press the “Delete” button on your computer’s keyboard

Your DB might be corrupt. Folow the delete procedure one more time:
Delete Music Files
1) Connect your Sansa to the computer.
2) Select Open device to view files using Windows Explorer on initial
connection.
3) Select the place where you want to delete music files from
4) Highlight and delete the music file/s or folder from My Computer\Sansa
e200\...\MUSIC folder. (You can also select from a variety of music
software programs to transfer/synchronize your files).

If that fails, go ahead and update the firmware - it will delete everything, and allow you to start over from scratch among other things.

You have to plug the mp3 player into the computer, double-click My Computer, double click on the icon of the GoGear, and then go into the Music folder - exercise caution: only delete music files - if you delete files that are non-music files, you will effectively destroy your GoGear.

-Open My Computer and look for a folder named Sansa"something".

-Open this folder and go into the desired folder[music] where you would want to delete music.

-select a song or multiple songs and press delete.

If you want to delete songs off your Sansa you just need to go to "MY COMPUTER: And find the sansa drive open it then look for the music folder.If you dont see a music folder you will need to go to the top where it says tools>then >folder options>then click on show hidden files> you should now see the music file. Go into it and simply delete any songs you don't want.

Deleting songs from your E250R can be done in 2 ways: By using Windows Media Player 10 or 11, or by browsing the player through Windows Explorer. Before you delete files, though, it's important to know that your player comes in 2 modes: "Rhapsody" and "PlaysForSure". The reason why is that music files saved in one mode would not be seen in the other mode, and vice versa. Therefore, if you can't find the music files in your player, switch to the other mode. Here's how to do it: Use the "Menu" button to navigate the player as follows: Menu > Settings > Mode > This will give you the option of: "Rhapsody" and "PlaysForSure". Here's how to delete your songs: (1) By Using WIndows Media Player: > Plug your Sansa to your computer and open your Windows Media Player. > If your Windows Media Player is version 10, then click on the "Sync" tab and you should see your player ("E250R") on the right pane along with its folders, named "Data" and "Media" or "Music". Expand the "Media" folder and you'll see the "Music" folder containing your songs. Right-click on a song and select "Remove" to delete them. > If your Windows Media Player is version 11, then either click on the "Sync" or "Library" tab and you'll see your player listed on the left pane. Chances are that you are using windows xp. open up your sansa folder to where it says pictuer, movies, ect. look at the picture to see what to do. In your player folder click tools --> folder options --> View. Under hidden files and folders click 'show hidden files and folders, click ok. The music folder would now show up where the videos and pictures are. Simply open the music folder and delete the ones you do not want. By default the songs are sorted by artist --> album --> song.
