Reboot to factory settings w/o startup disk Satelite A75-S1253

Hello - I was wondering if there was any way to reboot my Toshiba Sattellite A75-S1253 back to original factory settings without the start-up disk. I am currently using Windows XP.
Thank you for your time,

I tried pressing the 0 key but it didn't work. Either it does not have a recovery partition or it may be a different key at startup. I have tried F2 and F12 as well. Thank you so much for suggestion.

Thank you for your response. Unfortunately the two toshiba sites you suggested were the same and they were very vague. I appreciate your assistance. If you have any specific suggestions for recovery to factory setting rebooting information I would be very appreciative.

Hi there,
If it has a recovery partition you should be able to access it by pressing the 0 key while powering the laptop on. Give that a shot and see if the Toshiba recovery wizard comes up.

Toshiba A75-S1253 running 3.2 GH 448 Ram runs very slow

When windows starts it loads some programs, services and etc. When you install new software it might starts automatically when windows starts and might be displayed in tray. For example Antivirus software, audio driver and etc. To view the list of startup programs go to start menu. if you have xp hit run and type "msconfig" without ", if you have 7 type "cmd" in search field, when it finds program click on it and then in black windows type "msconfig". It will open new window. Go to StartUp tab and see what programs start automatically with windows. There might be useless programs which should be disabled. Also this list is good target for viruses.
If the list is small enough and few programs are listed, Consider that long time use of widnows decrease system performance. In this case you should reinstall windows.
And one more thing. In My Computer on desktop check free space of system disk (generally c:). There should be enough space to create temporary files and etc.

Toshiba A75-S1253 runs very slow

Harddisk maintenance should be carried once a month to make your computer runefficiently.Thisremoves redundant and temporary files, recovers disk space and speed up harddisk access.Disk Cleanup should be donefirst - Click My Computer - then right click on the C drive then click Properties, then click Disk Cleanup - let it examine the C drive then it will calculate theamount of disk space it will recover, tick all the boxes to recover themaximum disk space and then Click OK and then Yes to perform theseactions. If you have a D drive then repeat these steps on this drive too.Next the C drive needs tobe Defrag. This process converts fragmented filesinto continuous files and this speeds up disk access and makes the hard disknot work as hard. Click on Start - All Programs - Accessories - SystemTools - Disk Defragmenter - click to highlight the Cdrive and click Analyse - then click Defragment. When this is completedrepeat these steps for the D Drive if you have a D drive.Disk Cleanup and Defrag can take a long time to complete, especially ifthese tasks have not been for a long time.
ALSOAdding more RAM will also speed up your laptop.

Satellite A75-s1253 will turn off when the windows logo shows and startup again. This loop is on going no matter how it starts safe mode , last know configuration, all those options do the same.

This means that the startup files needed to boot up are already corrupted or missing. If no important files are on the computer then you can easily reinstall the operating system by doing a clean install/format. If there are lots of files you can either do a parallel/dirty installation( installing an operating system on top of the corrupted one) so that you can still back-up your files.
If you want to know what cause the error, you can hit F8 key(5 times) as soon as the computer turns on, and you'll be routed to the advanced boot option, choose "Disable Automatic Restart". So that once it encountered an error it will be displayed on the screen.

My A75-S1253 Toshiba Laptop screen is not properly visible. Its in like grayscale/watermark vision. Is there a setting problem or do I have to replace the entire screen?

Thank you for your query

From what you are describing it may be your screen OR the inverter, if the screen is very dim and you can balrey read it, then it is highly likely to be the inverter

Please book the laptop into a reputable PC shop for replacement

If this has been useful please leave postive feedback/vote/testimonial - Thank You Again -

Laptop not running on battery

try another power supply, they can have voltage problems and still have ample voltage to run the laptop but not fully charge the battery.
