Noisy outside from the Unit

We had an icing problem and replaced the inside blower to a blower the size of our unit. Our unit is about 4 years old works fine except you can not stay in the yard with it and can hear it well in the house. Just very very noisy.

MY AC WORKS FOR FOUR HOURS PER DAY AND BARELY COOLS DOWN THE HOUSE, NOT MUCH AIR COMING UP TO THE UPSTAIRS OF THE HOUSE. AFTER 4 HOURS, THE OUTSIDE UNIT SHUTS UP AND NOT MORE COOL AIR COMES IN. BEFORE THIS...

I am not understanding exactly what is happening with your unit. You say it only runs for 4 hours a day and then say that after 4 hours the outside unit shut off. But you don't describe the condition of the outside unit! Is there ice on your outside unit after it runs for four hours or is it so hot that the housing would fry an egg? Since it works for four hours and then stops working, I would guess that ice forms on the condenser grill which tells the thermostat that your air is much colder than it actually is. Then it takes time for the ice to melt off again. Am I close? If so this condition is usually caused by your unit being low on freon making everything work harder. But it could also mean that you have a leak in the system somewhere. But it shouldn't be much of a leak or it wouldn't run for the 4 hours.
I would recommend you charge it to the correct level and then check for leaks.

Ice forms inside unit -frost buildup-on outside-out side fan shaking unit fan running fo r ours

First to solve your icing problem. Due to indoor coil & air filter blocked or short of gas ice formation will be there. And also check the speed of blower motor, if less rpm, change capacitor for blower motor.
Service the unit also.

Second, for shaking the unit means your out door fan cracked or broken. Check and replace it. Is it helpful?

I have a ten year old carrier heat pump unit. I recently replaced the indoor tstat. the outside contact and the transformer. Had a tech put freon in the unit also. I have to problems one is the airflow is...

Two things are the most likely culprit. First check ytour inside coil with the unit running for 10 minutes or more and see if the coil is sweating there should be water running off of it. Also after one hour is there ice forming on it. These problems are lack of air flow which is caused by restricted air flow caused by a dirty filter dirty coil (which you have already taken care of) or your blower motor may not be kicking into high speed. Your motor will start and then after it gets to a certain speed it switches to a high speed. After running only 15 minutes if your blower motor is hot to the touch. Be careful some will cook an egg. If it is hot not just warm it is bad and needs to be replaced. Also if the fan is not running properly you can not get reliable readings with your gauges when adding freon. So if this is the problem then you may have to have the units freon cked again. If the line is not sweating at the outside unit where it goes into the unit the freon pressure is not right. The larger copper line will be cold and sweating the small line will be hot to the touch when the system is balanced and running properly. I hope this helps

3 year old a/c unit will not run outside is there a reset button?

Make sure that the breaker for the A/C is turned on, there should be a disconnect mounted on the wall, near the A/C unit outside. Ishould have a breaker or a set of fuses, the fuses will need to be ohmed out, as you cannot tell if they are bad just by looking at them.
Where the 2 copper lines connect to the A/C unit outside, there is a red reset button, push it in and make sure that it is not tripped.
I hope this gets you started in the right direction.
Have a great Day.

Not blowing cool air on my Ruud, 18 years old, outside unit.

If you have ice on the Line you are iced up. If coil is iced no air can get thru. Now First. Turn of ac and turn fan to on posotion. That will thaw unit. Let it run 45 minutes. That should do it. If the fan is not running you amy have a bad fan relay. One of the reason iced up unit is dirty evap, coil inside. Try to thaw it out first. You can clean the coil with a stool brush. Does not damage the coils. Good luck
