The "missing OS loader" is the key, it means a file on your hard drive that's part of the Operating System (Windows) has become corrupted and fails to load properly.
It tries to do a startup repair but can't.

Here are some programs that may be able to bypass your problem, and check and repair malware or rootkit infections that could be creating the problem.
Hiren's Boot CD doesn't look like much but it's excellent at fixing stuff like this.
They all get technical, so if you're unsure of what you're doing, don't do it as you could make things worse. Just using the Boot CD doesn't hurt anything but changing things might.

Sorry, I didn't mention that you need another working computer to make a rescue disk to begin with.

Disable Driver Signature Enforcement On the Startup Settings screen, tap the F7 or 7 key on your keyboard to select the "Disable driver signature enforcement" option.

Windows 8 will immediately boot to its typical lock screen. Sign into Windows 8 as you normally would - everything will look the same, except Windows will no longer demand driver signatures until you next reboot.
You can now install unsigned drivers as you would on previous versions of Windows. Windows will alert you if you try to install a driver that isn't properly signed, but you'll see an "install this driver software anyway" option you can choose.
install-unsigned-driver-anyway-on-windows-8.png
Reboot When you're done installing the unsigned drivers, reboot your computer. Windows will keep using any unsigned drivers you've already loaded, even as it enforces signature requirements for new drivers.

Start your computer in SAFE MODE by pressing F8 as it's booting up and when you see the Options menu, select the 'Safe Mode with Networking' option. Do some research and see if there are any updates for that software on Lenovo's website. You might not even need that software and might be able to remove it while you're in Safe Mode.

So will the computer boot or is Startup Repair hanging or looping and preventing the computer to boot successfully?

If you can't boot successfully you'll need a repair disc or operating system disc so that you can get to a command prompt (black screen with white writing) and run the check disk command.

To run the check disk utility you will need a repair disc ora operating system disc. Put the disc in the cd drive and boot fromit. You want to get to the Dos Command Prompt (Black screen with whiteletters) and type the following command: chkdsk /r
Check disk will run well over an hour or two and you will notice thepercentages going from high to low, this is normal. Let it run tocompletion. Then reboot machine.

If check disk fails to solve your problem you might have to reinstall windows.Try doing a Repair Install that way you don't loose your data, documents, music, pictures, videos or programs.

In windows xp you get to the dos command prompt by selecting R for repair whenthe options appear.

In Vista and Windows 7 you want to get to the recoveryconsole and look down at the bottom of the window for the Dos Command. If check disk does not solve the problem you will probably have to reinstall your operating system. Try to do a Repair Install so that it does not delete your data.

Seems more likely that there was a virus threat and attack that had caused the firefox browser to hang up. You can shut down and restart, try and use a good active antivirus to scan, check and repair if there was any damage on the OS .If not you can uninstall the forefox and reinstall.

Have a minolta Dimage Scan Dual III AF-2840 and Windows 7 64 bit and cannot find a driver. Any suggestions?

The above answer from Kingsway07 worked great for me on Windows 10, but I had to disable driver signature enforcement in order for step 11 to work.
To disable driver signature enforcement, follow these instructions.

a. Press the Win + C and click on PC settings.
b. Switch over to the "Update & recovery" section.
c. Then click on the Recovery option on the left hand side.
d. Once selected, you will see an advanced startup section appear on the right hand side. You will need to click on the "Restart now" button.
e. Once your Computer has rebooted you will need to choose the Troubleshoot option.
f. Then head into Advanced options.
g. Then Startup Settings.
h. Since we are modifying boot time configuration settings, you will need to restart your computer one last time.
I. Here you will be given a list of startup settings that you can change. The one we are looking for is "Disable driver signature enforcement". To choose the setting, you will need to press the F7 key.

My son installed desktop maestro and his computer crashed

Try booting the PC, pressing th F8 key repeatedly as it trys to start.

You should see a page offering several modes of starting.

You can 1) Start in safe mode and assuming it work ok, use the control panel to uninstall the soft ware. Then reboot normally

or 2) Start in safe mode with networking, assuming this works, go to filehippo.com download and install a programme called Ccleaner. Using the "Startup" option, delete all programmes out of the start up menu execpt for antivirus and firewall programmes. Then reboot normally. If this doesn't work go to option 1.

Good Luck.
