My son charged his PSP today and when he went to play it no games will play. It gives the options display but games will not play. It also states that the memory stick is empty
My son-freaking out because his "best friend these days" was broken-went into a fit so we went to a local game store and asked the salesman. He tested another game in it and got it to work. He also exchanged the problem game for us. He said that we should never charge the PSP with the memory stick or a game in it. It can cause problems with the PSP and ruin the game itself. I appreciate the comments. Hope this helps someone. My son-freaking out because his "best friend these days" was broken-went into a fit so we went to a local game store and asked the salesman. For this u got to reset ur psp. The easiest way to reset the PSP is to do a hard-reset. This means holding the power switch in the up position for around ten seconds. This will then shut off the PSP. You may then need to flick the power button either once or twice for the device to come back on. The hard reset method is normally sufficient to bring the PSP back to life and resume use, although it may mean you lose your place in the game you were playing. The alternative to the hard reset is to drop the battery out of the PSP. While I don’t really recommend this, sometimes a hard-reset will fail and this is your only option. To do this, simply drop the battery out of the PSP by sliding the cover open, and then wait for a few seconds. Pop the battery back in and fire up the PSP. Hopefully all will be well. cheers
When the football hit the psp, it could have knocked some hardware out of place, possibly on the motherboard. If you know what you are doing, you could open up the PSP and re attach the piece, or find someone who knows how to fix it.
When you play a new game for the first time, the psp checks for the
firmware version of your psp. If a newer version is available, the disc
will require you to update your psp. If you do not update the game
cannot be played. If you update, you MUST charge the battery 1st. Then,
you must have the charge plugged in and allow the update to run
uninterrupted. If you remove the game or unplug the charger during the
update the bios chip will be ruined and you now have little more than a
"brick". When this happens, the unit completely locks up and has to be
replaced. Basically, it corrupts the operating system and there is no
ability to restore default settings as a back-up.
Is there a disc in the drive? If so, it sounds like your UMD drive (or disc) is damaged. Does it only happen with one game or with all your son's games?
i want to save games on my saved data
My kids PSP won't play games, no UMD icon appears in the option display
