Question about Gaggia Baby Espresso Machine

No water coming through - New Gaggia Baby Dose

I have followed the instructions to prime the machine for first time use.
No water is coming through to either the head or the steam nozzle.
I can hear the pump and the water is being taken from the reservoir but is ending up in the drip tray and subsequently overflowing out.

Am I missing something obvious or is it likely a solenoid fault??

Try this remove the portafilter, then press the button for brewing coffee and then turn on the machine, if both hoses are in the water reservoir, then water should flow out of the head after a few seconds.

Call who ever you bought it from and have them diagnose the problem. I think you have a disconnected hose or something worse.

On the gaggia clascic there are 2 hoses in the back above the drain tray, are those in the water reservoir? If yes then there is a broken hose on the in side of the machine.

Leaking water

Hi,
It sounds like the main valve is faulty. Replacements are available or you may be able to dissasemble it and replace the seal.

Hope this helps.
