How do you change the tranmission fluid in a 2004 Honda V6 Coupe? Can you provide a step by step with a video or pictures?

there is a drain plug, take it out, let fluid drain out until it stops. put drain plug back in. find dipstick, take dipstick out, fill trans approx 3 qts. check level with engine off. use only HONDA trans fluid. If you cant do this, take it to a shop. You may need to bring your own trans fluid as most shops will not keep it in stock. should not cost much more than a engine oil change.

Stuck in 2nd gear when driving for a while

it sounds like your transmission is overheating. second gear is the default limp home gear the trans goes to when it senses a problem. pull the plastic allen head drain plug on the bottom of the transmission and be careful to let just a little of the trans fluid drain. the fluid usually doesn't drain unless the drain plug is all the way out. it usually wont let a little out at a time... if the trans fluid is burnt, brown, black, or not a nice clear red, you'll need to replace the transmission.
