Question about HP Computers & Internet

When I turn on the laptop and then try to use any files or the internet, I get a box comes up that says An unrecoverable error has occurred. the installation program cannot continue. Please contact your support rep or an service provider. Can you help me save my files?

In my windows Live Mail I cannot delete files in either the Junk or Deleted boxes. I simply get "an unknown error has occurred"


Robin L have the same problem so I am interested in any response as well
I have found that some unopened messages will not delete until I open them and other opened messages will not delete until later on
I believe the problem is in the live mail program as it has appeared since win 10 was installed then deleted along with unable to fix live calendar keeps coming up in the notifications

When turned on it would go to screen saying "A disk read error occurred, Press ctrl+alt+del to restart"..It would do nothing else..so following instructions from the internet i tried to restore it to...


The hard disk is defective and must be replaced. Only then you should reinstall, using the backup disks that you must have created before that. If you don't have the restore disk you must order it from them, and unfortunately pay for it.

The recovery disk is defective so the install is bad. Install using another disk (even a generic retail one of the same type will do) and your key.

Running script error


Method 1: Disable script debugging loadTOCNode(3, 'whattotry'); If the only sign of a problem is the error message, and Web sites are working, you can probably ignore the error. Also, if the problem only happens on one or two Web pages, it might be a problem with those pages. If you decide to ignore the errors, you can disable script debugging.

Note If this problem occurs on more than one or two sites, do not disable script debugging. Go to method 2 now.

To turn off the Scripting Debugger in Internet Explorer 6, follow these steps:
  1. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
  2. On the Advanced tab, click to select the Disable script debugging check box. and then click OK .
To turn off notification about every script error in Internet Explorer 7, follow these steps:
  1. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
  2. On the Advanced tab, click to clear the Display a notification about every script error check box, and then click OK.
Method 2: Test a Web page from another user account, another browser, and another computer loadTOCNode(3, 'whattotry'); Use another user account, another browser, or another computer to view the Web pages that triggered a script error to determine whether the problem persists. If the script error persists, there may be a problem with the way the Web page is written. You can probably ignore the error and disable script debugging as described in method 1.

If the script error does not occur when you view the Web page from another user account, browser, or computer, the problem may be caused by files or by settings on your computer. Go to method 3 to continue to troubleshoot. Method 3: Verify that Active Scripting, ActiveX, and Java are not being blocked by Internet Explorer loadTOCNode(3, 'whattotry'); Active scripting, ActiveX, and Java are all involved in shaping the way information displays on a Web page. If these are blocked on your computer, it may disrupt the display of the Web page. Reset the Internet Explorer security settings to make sure these are not blocked. To do this, follow these steps:

Hi,

This article offers five methods that you can try to resolve the issue, and also presents some advanced troubleshooting tips that you can try. Try each method in the order presented until you resolve the issue. If one method does not work, try the next.

This article is intended for a beginning to intermediate computer user. You may find it easier to follow the steps if you print this article first.
Method 1: Disable script debugging loadTOCNode(3, 'whattotry'); If the only sign of a problem is the error message, and Web sites are working, you can probably ignore the error. Also, if the problem only happens on one or two Web pages, it might be a problem with those pages. If you decide to ignore the errors, you can disable script debugging.

Try these steps first. I assume you are using IE 7. If these steps do not work try reinstalling your IE. Let me know if you need anything else. Good Luck.

Method 1: Clear cached data in Internet Explorer 7 loadTOCNode(2, 'moreinformation'); To determine whether a performance issue or an error message is caused by corruption in the temporary Internet files or in other cached information that is used by Internet Explorer 7, you must clear cached data. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Open Internet Explorer 7.
  2. Click Tools, and then click Delete Browsing History.
  3. In Delete Browsing History, click Delete All.
  4. Click to select the Also delete files and settings stored by add-ons check box, and then click OK.
A progress bar is displayed to indicate that the browsing history is being cleared. After this process is complete, test Internet Explorer to verify that it works correctly. If issues still occur, try Method 2.
Method 2: Reset security settings for Internet Explorer 7 loadTOCNode(2, 'moreinformation'); If you configure security settings to be too restrictive, you may prevent Internet Explorer 7 from displaying certain Web sites. To determine whether an issue is caused by overly restrictive security settings, revert to default security settings. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Open Internet Explorer 7.
  2. Click Tools, and then click Internet Options.
  3. Click the Security tab.
  4. Click Reset all zones to default level, and then click OK.
After you do this, test Internet Explorer to verify that it works correctly. If issues still occur, try Method 3.

Note If this method does not resolve the issue, you can restore Internet Explorer 7 to its previous security level.
Method 3: Run Internet Explorer 7 in "No Add-Ons" mode loadTOCNode(2, 'moreinformation'); Internet Explorer 7 add-ons, such as ActiveX controls and browser toolbars, are used by some Web sites to provide an enhanced browsing experience. An error may occur if an add-on is damaged or if an add-on conflicts with Internet Explorer 7. To determine whether the error is caused by an add-on, run Internet Explorer 7 in "No Add-Ons" mode. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, and then type Internet Explorer in the Start Search box.
  2. Click Internet Explorer (No Add-Ons). Internet Explorer 7 opens without add-ons, toolbars, or plug-ins.
  3. Test Internet Explorer to verify that it works correctly. If issues still occur, try Method 4.
If no errors occur, the problem is caused by one of the add-ons that typically load together with Internet Explorer 7. In this case, use one of the following options.
Option 1: Reset Internet Explorer 7 loadTOCNode(3, 'moreinformation'); Reset Internet Explorer 7 to its default configuration. This step will also disable any add-ons, plug-ins, or toolbars that are installed. Although this solution is quick, it also means that, if you want to use any of those add-ons in the future, they must be reinstalled. To reset Internet Explorer 7 settings, use Method 4.
Option 2: Use the Manage Add-ons tool to determine which add-on is causing the issue loadTOCNode(3, 'moreinformation'); Use the Manage Add-ons tool in Internet Explorer 7 to individually disable each add-on to determine which add-on is causing errors. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Open Internet Explorer 7.
  2. Click Tools, point to Manage Add-ons, and then click Enable or Disable Add-ons.
  3. In the Show box, select Add-ons that have been used by Internet Explorer to display all add-ons that are installed on the computer.
  4. For each item in this list, select the add-on, and then click Disable under Settings.
  5. When you have disabled all the items in this list, click OK.
  6. Exit and then restart Internet Explorer 7.
  7. If issues do not occur, repeat steps 1 through 3.
  8. Click Enable for a single add-on.
  9. Repeat steps 6 through 8 until you determine which add-on causes errors to occur.

Runtime Error Occurs in Peoplepc Setup!


it could be caused by some settings on your browser, I assume you are using Internet Explorer? it may still be using old files from its cache instead of retrieving the newer versions from the site or setup. try deleting all of IE's temporary internet files by going to tools menu, select internet options, then click on delete cookies & delete files buttons, if it is IE7 click on delete all, then refresh the page view. if error still persists, then it is a fault with the page. also, the page you're viewing may have a genuine Javascript error. still on the tools menu, go to internet options, click on the advanced tab. tick the option "disable script debugging" (internet explorer & other) under browsing, you can also try unchecking the box "display notification about every script error", click apply & ok, restart IE for all the changes to take effect.

You have to reinstall photoshop, most likely registry entrys have been removed from registry or some files are missing.

a uninstall and then a install (reinstall) will fix the problem.
