Below is a fix by another owner of your make and model for the same issue.
Pulled out ice bucket; tried ice dispenser with door latch pressed in and solenoid engaged and motor moved. Tried again and nothing (couple of times). Tried water...all good...good closure of dispensor flap (air pot operated). Opened dispenser (pried off carefully from bottom on this unit not to take off the glued part) and saw the micro-switch broken off of the ice dispenser side. Checked micro-switch (all good). Replaced control bracket...all good to go.

Kenmore Coldspot - Is there a switch for the dispenser light?

It is possible that there is a switch for the dispenser light on your Kenmore Coldspot refrigerator. Some models have a separate light switch that may be located near the dispenser or inside the refrigerator compartment. You can try checking the user manual for your specific model or contact Kenmore customer service for more information.
If the dispenser light still does not turn on after checking for a separate switch, there may be an issue with the wiring or control board for the dispenser. In this case, it may be best to contact a professional technician for further diagnosis and repair.

Kenmore Coldspot Ice Maker Modle #106 56622500 I

these have to be in correctly to lock back in and allow the unit to function. Try removing the bin again and be sure there isn't any small pieces of ice trapped anywhere. Also make sure there aren't any broken pieces from the bin. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Kenmore Coldspot w/Ice Maker Not Making Ice

hi LOP7,
In most cases you can easily solve this problem.
step one would be to make sure your freezer is getting cold enough. If you have icecream in your freezer is it frozen solid or is it soft. Most icemakers cycle around 0 degrees and if your freezer is not getting to 0 then it will not cycle and it will not make ice.
Step two would be to make sure you icemake is cycling. To do this simply lift the little shut off arm on your icemaker and wait about an hour then go back to the icemaker and drop the arm down. The icemaker should start going through a cycle. You should notice the arm slowly begin to raise and the ice dispencer fingers will begin to turn. Then you will hear it call for water. You may hear a humm.
If the freezer is cold enough and the icemaker is cycling that only leaves the inlet valve. replace the valve and enjoy the ice.
If the freezer is cold enought and the icemaker does not cycle, then you have a bad icemaker. Simply replace the icemaker and viola.
Third if the freezer is not cold enought 0 defrees. Then you may have a defrost problem. In this case post more info and I will be happy to help. Good luck [email protected]
