Most likely a hardware issue. First, check the CD cable to be certain it is not loose or disconnected from the CD or motherboard. If not resolved, go to Device Manager to see if the drive is present. If so, right-click and delete the entry. Restart your workstation and the drive should be "found". If not found, then the drive cable or CD drive is faulty. Hope this helps.
