Question about Zanussi Refrigerators
Even if evaporator coil works fine , the defrost system can still be faulty. Ensure that the evaporator fan is starting, or you may have a faulty defrost thermostat or a faulty evaporator fan motor.
If the problem is not the defrost system, then check fridge thermostat.
Also the condenser coil at the back of the fridge must be checked, dust accumulating on condenser coils, and poor air ventilation can reduce cooling.
If the problem is none of the above, then there may be a problem with the refrigerant level or the compressor.
You can find out if the problem is the defrost system by tripping the circuit breaker, and leaving the unit with no power for one day, so to defrost it completely.
If the defrost system is faulty, then the fridge will be cooling regularly at start, and you will get the problem back after few days.
