No sony has like 400 rms on that amp. eventualy u will blow the subbs. buy the hifonics 1608d amp to power thees subbs connect them all positives together at amp terminal and all negative together at negitive on amp terminal. this will make it a 1 ohm load with around 1400 true rms so around 500rms each sub.this amp on ebay runns like 250 and is worth every penny

Ok, your post has two different models listed. Let's start with something you need to know about your amplifier. Is it one ohm or two ohm stable. This will make a difference. Also, whether your subs are single voicecoil (HFI12s4) or dual voice coil (HDI12d4).
Let's start with the easy scenario. Let's say your amp is two ohm stable and you have two single voice coil subs. It's simple. You go from the positive of the amp to the positive of both subs and the negative of the amp to the negative of both subs. This will provide a 2 ohm load to the amplifier, thus pulling all the power out of it.
Unfortunatley, if you have two dual voice coil subs, you won't be as efficient. You will only have the options of a 4 ohm load or a 1 ohm load.
This is where having a one ohm stable amp would come in handy. If the amp is one ohm stable, hook the positive of the amp to all 4 of the positives on the subs, and hook the negative of the amp to all 4 negatives of the subs. This produces a 1 ohm load.
WARNING!! If you have a 2 ohm stable amp DO NOT use the last wiring scenario. It will fry your amp.
Now, the last is a little trickier. This is for two dual 4 ohm subs. Follow closely. Hook the positive of the amp to one of the positives of each sub. (do the next step to both subs) Go from the negative of the voice coil that you hooked positive from the amp is hooked to, and hook that to the positive of the unused voice coil. Then go from the negative of that voice coil and hook to the negative of the amp. Make sure this is done on both subs. This will give you a 4 ohm load.

Using two different kinds of sub woofers, is not an option, as these two sub woofers have different specifications and you should never mix sub woofers.
Now the better choice from the 2, would probably be the Rockford. (cant be sure without knowing the models, power handling is also a factor in how well either of the sub woofers will play, but Rockford as a rule makes better sub woofers than Sony does)
In my opinion, both the sub woofers deserve a better amplifier than what Boss has to offer.
However to connect either of these sub woofers, you would need to determine how many voice coils it has and how many OHM the voice coil/s are.
If it is a DVC (dual voice coil) and each voice coil is 4 OHM or 2 OHM, then you can connect one voice coil to one channel of the amplifier and the other voice coil to the other channel of the amplifier. If it is a DVC 2OHM you can also connect it wired in Series/Series to give a 4OHM load and should be connected to the BRIDGE dedicated speaker outputs of your amplifier.
If it is a SVC (single voice coil) and it is 4 OHM, then you can connect the sub woofer to the designated speaker outputs of your amplifier that states BRIDGE.
DO NOT run the amplifier in BRIDGE mode at 2 OHM as this will probably damage the amplifier.
Three 4 ohm subs can be wired parallel for a 1.34 ohm final load or series for a 12 ohm load. If you have the channels of the amp bridged, I hope that the subs are connected in series because the Sony XM-2200GTX is NOT rated for or stable at 1.34 ohms. It's only stable down to 4 ohms.
You definitely will not get the maximum potential of the subs from that amp. They can handle 400 watts RMS each (total 1,200 watts) and the amp is only capable of 500 watts RMS into 4 ohms (less at higher impedance), so each sub could only be getting a maximum of 166.6 watts RMS.
i would wire the coils of each sub in series which would yield an 8 ohm resistive load per sub - and then wire the subs in parallel to the amp which would bring the resistance back to 4 ohms for a bridged load which will give you max power handling from the subs and draw the full power of the amp at the same time
i highly recomend you use the hifonics colossous and wire the subs @ 2 ohms and you would be right about nominal power handling for the W7 which is rated @ 1000W, and your amp would push about 1100W to it. just be carefull when adjusting. and the best advice i can give you on the settings is as follows: Turn up the volume to the desired listening average level. (what you would normally have it on when driving) then adjust your amp by turning the different controls up, and then back down a 1/4 turn after distortion occurs. in your case with so much power dont turn them up all the way right away ease into it be gradual listen to the change in the sound.
First of all how many ohm's are each subwoofer rated at . Are the subwoofers dual voice coil or single voice coil. Once I know that I can help you. I think the JL amp is not recommended below a 2ohm load.
As i read your problem i can recommend you that connecting each of the hifonics amp to each hifonics sub with the same specs by getting the specs in interfacing the two or you can simply look to the output of the amp and the input of the sub and find a suitable plug that fits to them.
In the case if you want to run each hamp to individually run each sub but sharing 3 farad capacitor: what i can suggest is that you connect in parallel one connecting wire of each input or ouput of the amp or sub. Its like connecting a connector from each of the input or output of the amp or sub to one leg of the capacitor, and connecting two wires to the other leg, one is being connected to the amp or sub and the other wire is connected to the other amp or sub.
In the case of putting a circuit breaker at the car battery: what i can suggest is that you find an appropriate circuit breaker that fits the specs of the car battery then connect it in series on the positive supply or read the specs of the circuit breaker before you connect it to the battery. Having a circuit breaker is like having a fuse but with special advantages in favor of the circuit breaker.
In the case of having power to the amps you can run one power wire to the amps by dividing the power wire into two, one connected to the amp and the other wire to the other amp. Then you can connect each amp and sub in series individually by connecting one wire b/w amp and sub. I hope i solved your problem
