I have tried to install the software that is given

Have you uninstalled all the old webcam software on your pc ?
Download Revo and scan your computer for any webcam software - uninstall whatever you find.

Back this up with a manual scan - Start > Computer >> Local disk (C) >>Program files
Look for any folders that may be webcam related especially Lifecam
delete the folder if found.
Install software from Microsoft support. Select your OS and type Your webcam model into the search box
Close all programs when installing software and dis-connect webcam.
