Question about Iomega HDD External Desktop (32660) 80 GB Hard Drive
The filesystem on the drive seems to be damaged and it needs to be formatted which means that you shall loose all your data into it. In case you want to retrieve the data then you would have to buy some data recovery software such as Stellar to retrieve the data from it. If you want to format it, then restart the computer in Safe Mode (press and hold the F8 key while starting the windows and select Safe Mode from the list) right click on the drive letter and click on Format, do a full format and not the Quick Format. Do not double click on the drive to try to open it as it might lock the drive and you won't be able to format it. In case your drive doesnot support formatting in Safe Mode, start the computer in Normal Mode and then click on Start >> select Run, type "cmd" without the quotes and press Ok. Command prompt window will open up and in there type "format X:" without the quotes where you need to replace the X: with the drive letter of your USB drive. Make sure that you type in the correct drive letter in the command window, otherwise you might end up in formatting some other drive and loose your other data.
