The only fix is a bigger heavier battery. You might be able to find a back pack battery to plug in. If you know a tech, ask him if he can make you one. It is quite easy for a tech, especially if you are tolerant of aesthetics. Techies and not particularly aesthetics aware, on the average.
Basically, he will find a larger battery (more ampere hours) of maybe a better type (Lithium vice Nicad say) and then rig up a back pack and connector wire. It will plug into the V6 normally so will need to find a connector or ad his own to the V6.
You might contact the manufacture for an "extended rang battery". You might be able to add a cord/charger wire, but this defeats the cordless nature you probably want. Lithium batteries are much better than Nicad or Nimetel Hybrids but also much more expensive.
