My LED TV has the picture in two equal vertical sections with the right one having lower black level and that is for all inputs and even with no input , the black screen is half black and half gray

Fault to the main power supply regulator section. Either it will be a separate board, or the part of main board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.

Check the input connections. If Ariel connection, or other video input connection from any external source have loose contact, or wire broken, this type of interference can occur to picture.

Hi Charlene,

please try with video input from any device,and i think you are using local antenna and it has gain problem or your tuner section of the tv is not working correctly.
if distroted pictures comes with video input signal it is video amp and processing unit problem.
you have to go for repair shop for fix that.

If the problem is same with different input devices and you have ensured the are no loose contacts in power outlet, RC jack, cable and sockets, the TV needs servicing.

The set needs proper attention to its vertical output section, and synchronising seperatror sections. You must have through knoledge in electronics and repairing circuit boards. If you have, replace all the electrolytic capacitors at its vertical output section.

Black wire is ground, Red with 5a fuse is hot. Green/black is L Ground BTL, Grey /black is right ground BTL, the RCAs are left and right low level inputs. Then there is the 5 pin connector. It has a red wire for +12v, two black wires for input grounds, a green wire for left Hi input and a gray wire for right high input. If you install using traditional common ground high level, then you don't used the two BTL wires. Just connect the wires from your 5 pin connctor. If you use the low level RCAs for inputs, then you only need to connect the red and black from your 5 pin connector.(Plus the main red and black) Make sure the switched on the bottom of your EQ are set correctly. COM for common ground and LOW for RCA input or High for Green/Gray wire input. If you are using a floating ground the select BTL and connect the two BTL wires to the floating grounds of your stereo. There is also a line input adjuster so you can adjust your input sensitivity to match your reciever. I have the owners manual if you have any other questions.
