On my dyson DC22 canister the rotary brushes stop working, the suction is good. I checked the hose nothing. but a red light comes on on the start button. what to do?

make sure the filters in the bottom are clean, then remove the canister and you will need to clean it thouroughly, pay close attention to the upper section inside where the "cones" come togetheri have read that they are prone to clog up here and lose suction, google dyson suction loss or how to clean a dyson ect...pay attention to getting the rod that releases the bottom to dump back in the correct place or it will not work right. a few write ups tell about this!

I took the pre filter out of my dyson it now sucks wonderfully By the way mine wont **** at all with brand new clean prefilter it mine is a dyson animal .My other dyson is the yellow one that works with prefilter in no onw has been able to make my sco7 animal one work with filter in strange
