We completely striped the trans and rebuild it. We could find no fault at all. Whet i swap pwm solinoid b with cluch a the clutch engages. My problem is definitly electrical. There is constant 12volt ont the power lead of cluch b and it should only be 8 volt when engaged. Where else can i look for n short?

Time to look at the internal parts of the transmission. Blown seals, most likely the clutches are bad.

I have 2002 VOLVO S60 non turbo code p0740 poped I replaced the cluch solenoid and oil after 5 miles the same problem any sugestion will help

code p 0740 refers to torque converter clutch (TCC) solenoid ---circuit malfunction=== causes ---wiring---TCC solenoid--ECM---TCM ( transmission control module)
check the wiring and connections for clean / tight connections have the TCM tested or replaced
take it to an accredited auto transmission specialist shop to check the solenoid operation and test of the TCM or for a proper diagnosis of the problem

I have a 1998 audi a4. it will not start and gives me the p1749 and p1625 codes. how do i fix this?

code p 1625 refers to CAN databus, TCM--incorrect signal===causes --TCM trouble code/s stored---TCM incorrectly coded---wiring---matching resistor in ECM
I don't have a listing for code p 1749 but codes 1748 and 1750 are concerned with TCM defective and voltage supply low
so after you check the wiring and connections form the transmission you have 2 options
use a known good ECM to replace yours ( will eliminate any ECM faults)
and/or replace the TCM module on the transmission

Hello dave, to answer your question correctly i would need to have a complete diagnostic read out in real time. All these faults could be due to many things, from faulty parts to defective TCM. It could also be wiring problems or a combo of any or all. I suggest you get your transmission diagnosed from a couple of reputable transmission shops. With the correct diagnostic equipment, an accurate repair estimate can be quoted. I hope this helps.

2001 grand cherokee?
nor years of all parts swapped.
swaps are super complex topics, endless possibles.

dont expect magic from any TCM.
they cant tell you ever possible way things can be wrong
it will fail to shift right if things are wrong,
the trans TCM can go to limphome mode, read the service manual chapter 21 yet its free, posted here 300 times.
forget the silly engine , light (CEL) use only a scan tool one that can read all factory codes not some $20 tool.
CEL lamp is for failing smog. only. never trust it, if out.

i say bad shift solinoids.
the TCM can see late shift error.s but maybe not all.
stick in 1st is a hard failure.
all inputs to the TCM must be correct for the shift to 2nd happens.
check all inputs.
if those are then see if the TCM did shift to 2nd, but the solenoids ignored the logic inputs to the solenoids.
solenoids have many failure mods
dead. (stuck closed)
stuck open, valve open.
or leaking. (leaking can cause stuck in 1st and confuse any TCM)

leaking means breached, valve leaks where it must not. ever.
