Question about Philips Audio Players & Recorders
Unit was left unplugged for about a month. when hooked up again, soundbar would turn on, but go straight to 'disc source' and not be able to switch to any other source. even the disc source didnt function. the only things i am able to do are adjust volume related things on the remote (which doesnt do anything since none of the sources are functioning), and when the power is pressed down, 'entering low pwr' would show on the soundbar and will display that until unit is unplugged.

Hi There thanks for your very good desctiption of the problem it really helps to have a lot of detail...
There are Mono and stereo types of stylis cartridges and it sounds like you have a mono equipped into a stereo amplifier..
If there are 4 small coloured wires visible under the stylis then
its a stereo stylis and should work, have a close look and maybe one of the small wires has dropped of the small pins on the back opf the stylis cartridge.
If there only two wires visible then its a mono cartridge and this is why you only have sound from one channel..
So answer is wires dropped of the stylis.
Wrong type of stylis cartridge.
if there are four wires and thay all look connected then perhaps the stylis is faulty and you need to replace it...

SOURCE: I recently bought a Philips
low power is just another word for standby, when doing this press the power on button again, or press something on the unit to power it up. if it still does not work you might have a power issue on the power board. call your manufacturer or ceck your manual.

hold down the source button to turn off the unit (unit must be off)
now hold down the function button till it beeps once it has done this press the function button i think 3 or 4 times and you will get a message on your deck unit saying (aux - on,off) turn on and press the source button to turn the unit back on to the CD or radio now press source button2 or 3 times till Aux shows up (press means push it let it go) (hold means don't take your finger off button)
hope this solves your problem
