Question about Bose 901 VI Main / Stereo Speaker
Not much you can do.. The date-of-manufacture was built into the serial numbers, but the format for that has changed several times in the last 21 years.
Rule of thumb: The current series came out in 1987. (it's only been slightly updated along the way, material-wise) If it's earlier than the current series (before series 6) then it was made at least 21 years ago.

There is no way around this part. Get a separate power amp for the 901's if you want to use them in a multichannel way or alongside non-901 speakers.
Connect the Active EQ between the pre-outs and the amp input. Run speaker assignment, levels, etc and have fun.
