What modem will read a digital picture memory card? Modems are for connecting to an Internet Service Provider. Do you mean a card reader that plugs into a USB port, or is built into your computer?

Have you tried reinstalling the drivers to the camera. If you got the disc that came with your camera go to control panel and uninstall them. Then reinstall using the cd. Make sure you back up your photos first. If this dosent work it could be that you need a new card reader

Try reading the memory card with the pictures on it in another computer, or try using the cable that came with your camera. Make sure that the card protection switch is in the unlocked position. Try a different memory card and see if you have the same problem. Check in your "C" directory and make sure the computer is still recognizing the card reader. Try a small portable card reader. The Aptiva is available at Staples for $9.95 and plugs into a USB slot. Last shot is that your card reader that is built into the computer may have a loose connection or has malfunctioned.

Kodak C190 camera. I moved my pics from my SD card to my computer. Then tried to transfer them back..after many tries, they are back on my SD card. I can view them by putting the SD card in my laptop. When...

This should do it for you: Insert the SD card into your laptop or computer. In the SD card go to "New Folder" name that folder "DCIM" in the "DCIM" folder create a new folder. This one you will name "101KC190" (I'm pretty sure you have the Kodak Easyshare 190, correct?) Now, transfer all of your pictures into "101KC190." Insert the SD into your camera and it should work. email me if you need to kylejwoody@hotmail.com

Create a folder on your desktop. Drag and drop the pictures from the card reader to the folder. From there, you can import them wherever you want.

Can't veiw pictures from memory card on camera

Some cameras do not allow a computer to camera transfer. It causes the card to have a different initialization not compatible with your camera. If the pictures are safely on your computer, format the card in the camera and it will be fine.

Memery card into computer but no pictures

I posted the info below for someone else with a similar problem. I hope it is helpful. Let us know if it is not, Andy If you can remove the memory card and put it into your computer it will see the card. If it does not automatically give you an optoin to veiw the pics. Go to:Start>Computer>expand computer in left pane(your card will have a drive letter and it's name after it i.e.E:\canon sd card.>select your card and look in the different folders, it's usually in DCIM>101 or other ### folders.
Comments: Sep 09, 2009- can you cancel the format. open the folder with pics, then copy them into your documents or picture folder on your hard drive? I have seen these cards do some strange things.
If you still have trouble try rebooting your computer. After restart insert card and try again.
FYI; always let your camera finish processing a picture you have taken before turning it off & never remove the card while camera is on. If batteries2.gif die while processing a photo you can risk losing all pics on card. So download often and replace batteries before they die completely.

Hi

Do you want the pictures transferred to your memory card? that depends on the option available on the camera, try inserting the memory card. select a picture then check options if you can move it to a memory card. if not, download it to a computer and transfer it to the memory card folder.

Hope this help

Folder missing from SD card

Transfer the folder to your computer, along with any other pictures you want to save. To do this use a card reader, not the camera. Then click and drag the folder onto your desktop. After you will format the card using your camera (press menu then under the setup tab [yellow colored]) - this will delete all the pictures on your card so make sure they transfered onto your computer. Take a random picture on the camera to generate a new folder. If you want to put the pictures back onto the card so you can view them with the camera (not necessary), you should put the card back into the card reader, then open the dcim folder. you will see a folder which says Canon###, copy that name and make sure it matches the name of the folder you previously copied onto your desktop. click and drag the folder back onto the memory card to replace the existing folder in there (the random picture you took will be over written, so if you liked it transfer it first). That should have covered it...i know i made this very wordy, sorry, but i'm used to explaining these things to my parents who don't even know how to turn on their camera.
