Question about Whirlpool Calypso GVW9959K Top Load Washer
I have this issue constantly. The pump is clogged. You have to drain the tank, remove the cover on the pump and remove all the gunk around the fan wheel, or whatever they call it. I'm 99% confident this is your issue. The bad news is that you'll have to do this for the rest of the time you own the washer. I lost count on how many times I've done it. I've had the washer since 2005.

The code on your machine stands for 'Long Drain'. Ld flashes if it takes longer than 5 minutes to pump out water to a point where the operating pressure switch resets. Check the intake and exit hoses of the recirc pump for debris. It's easiest to get to the pump through the front panel of the machine(click here). Looks like this: click here. the hoses to the pump have spring clips holding them on. Be careful taking the hoses off, have something to catch the water from the hoses.
Hope this helps.
