Troy-Bilt pressure washer will not pick up cleaning fluid

I’m not that familiar with their pressure washer but I was able to get a few more years out of my string trimmer with a more in-depth cleaning than I was used to. I had let my trimmer set up through two seasons because I had someone doing my lawn. Steve is right about the tiny passages. I took my carb apart and “cleaned with some spray can parts cleaner wiped the parts dry and reassembled. Didn’t work. An old shade-tree friend showed me that I needed to soak the parts in cleaner. Their was a small steel mesh screen that I wasn’t able to clean with just the spray. I also CAREFULLY used compressed air to blow out those small passages. I did eventually replace the carb but got a few more years before I had to. Check your filters also. They’re cheap to replace.

clean and soak all valves if do get work do not leave solution in it over time.carb cleaner with that little straw

Check oil level may be low

if its a vertical engine it;s underneath the base of motor look for a plug with a square slot in it i usually use a 3/8 " extension

underneath base of motor look for a plug wuth a square slot,i normally use a 3/8" extension with ratchet.

if it fires up with starting fluid then the problem is in the carb open it up and clean it

They are handy for any tough cleaning job...
washing cars, decks and house siding are few coommon areas that they are used for...
Once you have one though you will find you are using it for most any cleanup job involving water...

Turn Black cone shaped valve clockwise to increase pressure there will be a small +/- plus will increase and give you pressure.

inlet valve connected to water inlet is stopped-up. Unscrew it, take a safety pin run through valve then take the pin and push through valve connected to pump. should do the trick. (the valve the suction hose for the soap is connect to)
