Question about Car Audio & Video
That wire is unused in your installation. This wire works in conjunction with the car's dash lights and dims the faceplate lights to match the dash.
The radio lights will simply be on "high" all the time.
What vehicle are you installing this radio in? I can tell you what wire (if any) you can hook it to.
Otherwise simply tape it off. It will be unused.
Are you cutting the factory plug, or using an aftermarket wire harness to attach to your radio's wiring??
If you have additional concerns or questions about your install - please use the "Continue With This Expert" option - so we are connected in the future.
I am an independent Car Audio shop owner and have been installing professionally for 17 years.
