Question about Kenwood KDC-MP2035 CD Player

Not Holding the Memory

I just recently was given my Kenwood KDC-MP2035 CD Player for my birthday and it was installed. The first time I turned it on, I set everything, clock, bass, radio stations. Then, when I got into my car the second time, everything was blank. This occured with the cd-player i had in my car before, and I was wondering if it's a problem with the wires.

Re: Not Holding the Memory

Sounds like a wiring problem.

There is a YELLOW wire that should be connected to a constant +12 volt supply when the vehicle is off. This retains the settings.

Check the connections and see if thats the problem.

Please RATE my solution at the bottom.

Best of Luck.

Kenwood deck kdc-mp2035 im not sure about blue wire or yellow or red

Normally on Kenwood, blue is not usually used, it's for power antennae, make sure it's end is not bare though. Yellow would be to a continuous 12volt+, for memory. Red goes to accessory, (+12volt) where only power when key on, or in accessory position.

Unfortunately Kenwood codes are only available from the Main Dealer or by using a Radio Decoding Service who will connect a laptop to read the working code inside your radio`s memory chip (EEPROM)

Kenwood KDC-MP2035 cd player has power and everything functions but there is no sound. The 10A fuse in the unit is good.

make sure that the power output is enabled. this will turn on you internal amp. I have the same unit and I fouund this to be a problem. If this does not work your out put amps might be fried. good luck.

Mp2035 cd player will not turn on.

My hunch is that the fuses blew. When you cut all three at once you shorted the battery to ground and most likely blew out the fuses. Check the fuses and let me know. That is my best guess. Good luck

Setting the time on a Kenwood KDC-MP2035

Make sure the power is off before setting the clock (hold down the "FUNC" button until nothing shows but the time). Then Hold down one of the buttons on the right side for like 3 seconds until the time starts blinking. I can't remember which button it is as I don't have the unit in front of me right now. Use the track buttons to adjust the time. Hope this helps!
