Question about GE (PSS26MSRSS) Side by Side Refrigerator
I usually put my glass and press the lever and water comes out. One morning I wanted drink water I did exactly that and nothing came down. I checked the water supply and there is water, there was also no leak thank god. So I turned the ICE maker to make ICE. The surprize was it works just fine. The only problem is the water. When I press the lever It sounds like it is going to work but nothig comes down.
I fixed mine by leaving the light on the dispenser on. It took about 6 hrs, but the little heat from the light bulb was enough to defrost the water line.

My water hose froze between three and five inches inside the freezer door from the filler tap. I ran a piece of weed eater string into the tap and that was as far as it would go. Next I ran a weedeater string up from the bottom quick disconnect under the freezer door until I hit ice in the hose. I could tell I only had a small section frozen. I never turned the unit off. I just used a hair dryer on the filler tap for about thirty minutes. I would stop and check the weed eater string distance into the filler tap and each time it went in a little farther until the ice was gone. I feel the freezup was caused by the ice maker dispenser door staying open when a piece of ice got caught in it. Since then I always check to make sure the dispenser door claose. I have owned this unit for over two years and this my first problem.

Sounds to me like the tube is freezing inside the freezer door. Ive had a few do this to me and that was the issue. Disconnect the tube that is behind the toe grill that goes up through the freezer door hinge. Water should come out of the line now that it is disconnected. If water still doent come out than its something else.

Tips for a great answer:

Good Morning friend, thank you for your post!
I see that you are having an issue with your rinse aid dispenser not adding rinse aid into your Frigidaire dishwasher. You may need to run hot water into your dispenser to help clear out any dirt or clogs within your dispenser. If that does not help I would recommend making sure the water temperature inside your dishwasher is at 120 degrees. If the water is not at the correct temperature it will not allow proper dispensing of the rinse aid. You may also want to check the filter at the bottom of your dishwasher to assure that it has been cleaned out and is not distributing dirt or debris inside of your dishwasher. I would also recommend checking the spray arms to make sure they are not dirty and spray water evenly. You can clean them out using a pipe cleaner. I hope this information is helpful to you. -Matt
